i'd be more concerned if i heard it from someone else. i'd obviously rather not hear it at all but to me it's better it comes straight from him as an admission he knows he shouldn't have rather than from another source who's "leaking" something about it.

taking some plays off because he didnt think the ball was coming to him - my take is that is really not smart at all and shows some lack of understanding or disregard to how play design works. In addition Romo is a big improvisor so there is always a chance the ball is coming to you.

The fact that he is "sick" of being called out by coaches is more troubling. It likely means that he had to be scolede multiple times and just didnt take it seriously enough.

The answer for me is having competition for his spot to light a fire under his butt

You never take a play off period... All of that ties into providing the defense with the illusion that you might be going one place with the ball when you go elsewhere. No compassion from this direction for that asinine comment. I like Williams too.. Hopefully Street can prove that he belongs as well and make TWill think twice about cruise control.

It's no big deal. All coaches want players going all out on every play. The coaches called him out for loafing on some plays, probably publicly amongst teammates. He considers himself a great receiver and teammate, so he wants to show the coaches are wrong about him. The coaches call that motivation. It's what they do (or what they're supposed to do). As Mr. Sheen would say, "Winning."

If every player that had a coach say something critical about them wasn't any good then there would never be a good player in the history of Football or any other sport.

T. Will is a good football player and in a non-dynamic scheme he gives us all you can ask for really.

Really, the only thing my high school coach said to me was "Wow".

Him disappearing from games after hearing this is not surprising, Tony is big on trust, thats why the one season with Robinson was special. I hope Williams and Escobar dip their toe in that pool this year.

I fully expect a complete misinterpretation and outrage by page 3.

Seems like Tony looked TW's way quite a bit when scrambling.

All WRs take plays off, Jerry Rice, Michael Irvin, Dez Bryant, Randy Moss, ect;. Players that say they've never ever taken a play off in their careers are full of it, I understand it happens due to many reasons, just don't make it a habit.

I wonder how Tony feels about T Will "dogging it" when he's running away from a blitzing LBer

I'm sure Tony knows it's not a big deal.
