To me its not that he took plays off, but why he took them off. If he took plays off because of fatigue I'm not as concerned, but mentally checking out of a play because the balls not coming your way is irritating, particularly when he was being used as a decoy on some plays.

Irvin once said you run every rout like the ball is coming your way, because it just may be coming your way. I don't excuse Williams for taking off plays, I would not make excuses for any player doing that. I like the fact he addressed the issue

Troubling or no big deal? Can't say I like hearing that from him.

I think its a concern. Many of us felt something wasn't right halfway thru last season when Williams went thru extended period with minimal production. We were told by media and spin patrol at cowboys that Dallas just had so much talent on offense there are only so many balls to go around. It turns out our eyes were correct. When you get tired of being called out by your coaches for lacking passion....its a problem. The good news is Williams will have more competition this year. From video I have watched, Streets looks ready. Don't rule out Farmer. Whitehead looks ridiculous but see him more of slot guy.

Not the first one to do it and won't be the last one to do it.

Spencer said he took plays off and this board didn't give a rat's butt.

Just a touch of perspective.

It does bother me a little bit. I'm not saying it doesn't happen but he must of been doing it alot because he really did disappear in some games. I like him and he did make some big plays for the Boys but we're hearing that Dooley likes Street and I've been reading that he's been looking good at OTA's. So I guess I look at it that if He doesn't make Terrance better then He takes the starting job and runs with it. I can't wait for training camp. All these rookies and position battles got me juiced up

This sounds like Desean Jackson when he was an Eagle..................................he admitted he took plays off during games as well.

Of course he was pissed over his contract whereas TWill apparently just doesn't give a dam......................motivations are different but the outcomes are the same.

Well it was obvious last year he was taking plays off. Honestly was wondering if maybe we need to look elsewhere for some competition. I mean Williams is supposedly our #2 WR so any lack of production from Williams is like telling defense to concentrate all your efforts on the other guy.

You see...

Everyone here defended this dude and thought I was just hating everyone on the cowboys, and being picky. I knew we were not getting the type of consistent production from the number 2.

But guys like @AdamJT13 went out of their way to show me stats, like stats tell the whole story. Well straight from the horses mouth @AdamJT13 . told you I would tag you.

Coaches said and he said it. Dude was bum status. Now if he really fixes his play, and stops with the body catches he can be a solid number 2-3, right now the bum is more like #4 type WR.

I'm glad he knows he has **** to work on. Now I have hope at the #2 position.

I think the cowboys need to teach guys like Randle and TWilliams how to speak to the media. Even if he was taking plays off how stupid of him to say it to the media.

The other problem is that he body catches..................this severely limits his catch radius.........................that is why almost all the top WRs in the NFL catch with their hands and not their body.

Add to this that he admittedly was dogging it during the games and it is troubling to say the least.
