Have fun being relegated to Anthony Spencer status by the torch and pitchfork crowd, kid.
Exactly what I was going to say.
I'm still waiting for someone to provide examples that his "taking games off" hurt his play. I want to see evidence that he can't catch as well, he had two bad games last year in terms of targets and catches: The Houston game and Cardinals games. How many of those were good throws? I don't know. But he had very few dropped passes.
Just a lot of bad arguments here and agendas. Embarrassing, really.
Oh, and was this just tweets or was there an article? I want to see full context.
Listen, just listen. I don't know what you ae trying to argue, but the fact is, Williams needs to get better. Bottom line. He's not a legit number 2. If that was the case the team would not obviously be giving him heated competition, and he would not come out and make a statement like that. He feels the pressure to be better, 11 touch downs or not, he has to be better and play better.
I think Street will be pushing for even more playing time this year... I'm hearing he's looking bigger, faster and stronger.
Williams may (or may not) improve upon his consistency level this year. If he does, his spot should be secure. If not, look for a WR to be one of the early picks next year.
Did anybody mention that he had a broken finger in the middle of last season?
Not sure about that, actually. I wasn't being critical of T-will -- I think he'll improve just like most young WRs do. On the other hand, if not, the powers that be may not want to stand pat next offseason.
I'm just asking because I didn't see it mentioned. I think a broken finger would cause some inconsistency.
No doubt but this is the first I've heard of it lately -- guess I just forgot about it. Me and my senior moments . . . did it actually happen?
