Terrence "Prime Time" Newman

T.O. had three catches in that game at Invesco. One was a 91 yarder, a short pass turned into a big gainer. That was not Bailey's play to make. I specifically remember that play.
Unfortunately, you don't remember it correctly, or more than likely, you're just making something up to try to prove a point.

The video clearly shows Owens catch the ball in front of Bailey, juke past him, and sprint away with no one else behind Bailey. It's Bailey's fault, period.

The lengths some people go to for some reason to try to and discredit Newman is baffling.

How, in any way, that goes towards discrediting Newman is baffling.

I know he caught the ball in front of Bailey. He did get juked, let's please not pretend as if this is something that doesn't happen in open field to a lot of players. Yes, even to the great #41, it happens. I expected more help from the safety, better pursuit maybe in help. This was not a error in coverage.
That was my point. Juked? Yeah, pretty badly. There is no mistaking that.

Terrence Newman is playing at a pro bowl level, and the mention of Champ Bailey, in no way, threatens that. I am a huge Newman fan. Have been since he was at K-State. Dynamic punt returner there and he would absolutely take your breath away on returns.

As corners go, Newman is working to get where Champ is. I think he can. Bailey is the gold standard by which NFL CBs are measured. T-New could get there someday very soon.

The Keyshawn TD was also questionable. The play was set up to take advantage of Bailey jumping the flat route. Hence, the pump by Bledsoe before throwing to the endzone. That was not man coverage called on the play. Corners aren't going to freelance that shallow. Dallas caught them in that coverage again and the safety didn't get over to make the play.

It was a 3 deep coverage Keyshawn caught it in Bailey's zone..;)
