Yep. Converting all but $900,000 to a bonus. You should look these things up before taking a strong position.
For starters I didn’t realize saying he’d clear waivers was a ‘strong position’…..secondly, I asked you because I haven’t seen it
Mentioned anywhere and I don’t see it on sportsrac…first to admit I don’t know it all and must’ve missed it mentioned. My mistake.

Fair enough.

I’m not following you. We would have him cheap for the rest of THIS season.

I think if we sign him after he claims waivers, the Texans are on the hook for the rest of this season, and I think he'd only be a 1 year deal. So, he'd only be a one year rental. If he leaves, we get a comp pick.

No.

He reworked his deal with the Texans and converted salary to bonus. He’s a super cheap claim and someone will.

He’s a free agent after that according to spotrac.

Damn. That means he won't pass waivers. We desperately need a good LB. It would open up Parsons game even more.
Yea well he's just 26 and just signed like a 4 year deal. But depends on why the released him

Pass rusher and offensive line.

I think they cut Lawrence and re-sign Gregory after this season so they’ll need another edge player. Fortunately this is a great year to get one.

And they need a long and short term replacement for Smith at left tackle and Williams will leave in free agent do another guard becomes a need. And the linebacker corps is bare after Parsons. Those slots are top three for me.
I wasn’t sure whether to make DT or DE priority one so I went with them keeping DL. If they don’t then LB could be a huge need if they make MP full-time DE and move RG to LDE.

At 235, Parsons couldn’t hold up as a full-time DE.

Yeah and I’d hate to see him gain weight to do it and lose his burst….I think he’ll naturally gain weight but it makes you wonder how much and if it will be enough to be in the line more.

Not worth it to me. The guy is awesome just the way he is. I change nothing.

Oh I do too. He could’ve been loafing around just because of the culture…..winning cures a lot.

And he realized that the Texans paid him up front. I guess he’s not the type of character player that you invest in. Another mistake in Houston. Shocker there.

I don't even know if I want to call it a fall from grace but man...not long ago with Watson their future looked bright. What a mess. And I don't even think they have the multiple 1st rounders a team like the Eagles have they can look forward too. They are losing their best players for nothing.....I guess a haul will come if they ever trade Watson but man....even that trade will probably be too late when they do it.
