Not worth it to me. The guy is awesome just the way he is. I change nothing.
Oh I agree. That's why I said naturally because he's going to gain weight. He's already a workout warrior. He's going to probably gain some muscle over the offseason. Healthy weight hopefully.

I'm torn because I want him to rush the passer as much as possible but he needs to develop asa linebacker because we need BOTH. A linebacker and pass rusher and he possesses both qualities.

I don't even know if I want to call it a fall from grace but man...not long ago with Watson their future looked bright. What a mess. And I don't even think they have the multiple 1st rounders a team like the Eagles have they can look forward too. They are losing their best players for nothing.....I guess a haul will come if they ever trade Watson but man....even that trade will probably be too late when they do it.

The dysfunction starts at the top with their ownership. They’re clueless. And they allowed O’Brien to give away the store.

On top of that, the one good player they had left is in a mess off the field.

No team in the league is more screwed than Houston.

I hope that they continue to play him at both spots, even with Lawrence and Gregory returning.

Why would they cut him? Had 3 good solid games his last was his best this year. I'm all on board.
He's being a headache for the coaches flaunting the rules, not showing up on time, not getting tested for the Virus... there's probably more because their coach seemed quite content to let him go.

Cowboys are in the mid 20s on the waiver cliam order, so unless Zach's agent tells the other teams to scram it ain't happening for Dallas.

chill dude. Lets not jump the gun calling him names. We don't know what really happened. The contract he signed was enormous. No one will sign him. They dont wanna take that salary on. So this is all moot.

okay, how’s this…the really smart nice guy missed a Covid test with his team…that kind of behavior could have the consequence of putting our players on the Covid list and that’s no bargain no matter how well he tackles. He is a handsome guy too.

Is he free to sign anywhere? If so, Dallas needs to be all over this.

He is subject to waivers because the trade deadline has passed. Prior to the deadline veterans are noy subject to waivers.

Having said that, if claimed the contract goes with him.

forget it then....we don't need someone who is not motivated.
He was just trying his best to get out of Houston, and was late to several team meetings to drive the point home.
With the new regime attempting to establish a new culture, Cunningham has been made an example of.
I would welcome this very talented LB, he would put LVE on the bench.

Yeah I don't think he's any savior by any means. I haven't seen enough of Cunningham to judge him but no team is releasing anyone mid season that means something to their team. They would've waited to trade him if he was worth it.

That doesn't mean he can't help this team. But we are falling in the same trap as Packers and Panthers fans did when it came to Jaylon Smith. There's always a reason why they are let go. If they wanted a viable improvement they should've traded for one. But there's nothing wrong with kicking the tires on this guy.
Kicking the tires...
ZC would be an immediate fit and bolster this LB core.
I dont know whats going on in his head, did he force his cut?
I believe so.
Just last season Cunningham put up the following stats for those that can read between the lines.
106 tackles
58 assists
7 tackles for loss
3 sacks
In summation he is no Parsons but he is a tackling machine that immediately puts LVE on the bench.

You ask why would they cut him, then say you are all on board without finding out why they cut him, i would suggest a bit of due diligence first.

not saying I wouldn't kick the tires, but in reading some of the Houston posts sounds like there might be reasons that would be disruptive to the locker room.

Don't tell me I need to do "due dillegence". That franchise is a joke and has been for years. You could take a bad apple away and put him with good ones and he'll shine. LVE sucks and is such a liability in the run game we need a guy just like this who will take on blocks and blow up a RB.

A new team may change his attitude and bring him back to reality. But Greg Hardy and that doobie guy whose name I already (forgot) didn't work out too well. Usually, if players can't live up to the standards, its best to let em go or give them a probationary trial that favors the team at a bargain price.
