If they’re looking at what they have and not thinking he’s better? Get new decision-makers.
I see no scenario where anyone couldn't come in to this linebacker group and be just as good......but I'm just basing it on how they've structured their team. I Don't know if they do it for player morale or what but seems like they rarely go outside for outside help and when they do like Everson Griffen its a fail. I'd be shocked but he can't be any worse than what they have even though that's a sucky way of going about player acquisition but its the season and not the offseason.

Watch his tape, he is nothing like Jaylon.
I haven't seen anything except "highlights" from him but I did notice a few Texans fans saying "good riddance, tired of seeing him make tackles 10 yards down field"...I immediately though ahh hell naw I've heard that before.

It’s a head scratcher for me that they’ve done nothing at the position despite numerous issues.

Then they are high.
Are they only high on the decisions that we don't agree with lol? Were they high for drafting Parsons lol? Can't have it both ways......I wasn't speaking for them though. Everson Griffen was available last year and they sought after him. Only way I can see them not wanting to look at him is if its not a personality fit. Which could be a issue. I don't know how the hell you get cut from the Texans midseason even if they do suck.

cmon man,we dont even have LBs who can tackle right now apart from micah.

The defense is designed this way.

Our defensive coordinator wants guys that are basically a safety to play linebacker.

It’s funny watching some on here judge the defense by old school metrics. All our coordinator cares about is Turnovers, Points allowed, and 3rd down defense.

The defense is built to slow down high flying offenses with mobile QBs. I love it.

Their only move is cutting Jaylon which maybe it was purely for salary cap reasons next year. It seems like it all comes down to money if they make a move because LVE should've been shown the door right behind him if its about play. Hell Kazee and Neal too lol.....signing guys is also good for guys not to get complacent and step their game up.

That's not what HE wants that's what he has. He saw Neal and thought well he can't be worse than what they have and he's right. Neal isn't any worse than LVE or Jaylon. That's what he's had to work with not what he wants.

Whats our waiver priority. He cant be worse than LVE. Id make this move now.
he can he doesn't know our defense and hes being cut by A bad team, what does that say? we didn't have room for one average player to replace the other..cap or roster spots,,ok next
i have zero idea who he is so that should tell you something..

Yeah I don't think he's any savior by any means. I haven't seen enough of Cunningham to judge him but no team is releasing anyone mid season that means something to their team. They would've waited to trade him if he was worth it.

That doesn't mean he can't help this team. But we are falling in the same trap as Packers and Panthers fans did when it came to Jaylon Smith. There's always a reason why they are let go. If they wanted a viable improvement they should've traded for one. But there's nothing wrong with kicking the tires on this guy.

I disagree. I think he clears waivers at his salary he's getting paid.

I have to agree with you. If he had merely assaulted someone or committed a felony, I think teams would accept this baggage with his salary, but for not going along with Protocol, most teams may not want to have something this vile along with that salary load

Why has his play dipped this year? I'd have a conversation with him for sure. Maybe he needed a change, they are a dumpster fire over there.

I think a nice one year deal would suffice. No need to do anything drastic with him. Bring him in and see what he can do. We need another Lb, and he could help us. What is there to lose?
