That will be interesting given Dallas has pushed Lamb to be an outside WR the last 2 seasons and the #1 guy last season. I wonder how Lamb and his agents(s) will look at this because if he is moved into the slot for most of 2023, that may impact contract negotiations beyond his 2024 5th-year rookie option as an outside #1 would garner more money than a slot WR.
Dude. Lamb played the majority of last season out of the slot still. This is why people call you a troll. Because it’s obvious you don’t watch the games lol.

Cooks is an excellent fit for our offense. He is the speed receiver many have been pounding the table for. He has produced everywhere he has been and even has played in several big playoff games. Really like the trade!

JJ sure does love trading for WR, especially older ones. Cooks has now been traded 4 times? Wow. Makes you wonder...

At least it's not OBJ! Thank goodness we dodged that one.

He has been productive on multiple teams and has played in several big playoff games. Really like the move. Fans have been screaming for a stretch the field speed guy, here he is!

Yeah he had 15 receptions for 227 yards combined in the 2018 NFC championship game and Super Bowl.

Not sure who I wanted as the number 2 honestly, but not at all unhappy with him (especially for what we gave up).

5th and a 6th plus 6 mill paid for by the Texans? Am I dreaming right now or is that an amazing deal by Jerry?!
its a very solid move as good as Gilmore.. many will be upset its not Dhop or OBJ no Ramseys but This is what we needed to ADD to Lamb and Gallup not anther #1..id argue that Cooks has had as good a career as cooper, so this isnt some scrub.

we didn't need a #1 so all that trade talk as ive said all week i knew no way Dhop is worth a 2 and 18mil as fit here.. OBJ overvaluing himself we just needed a Veteran presence, and this is a good addition.

draft another wr ,. hopefully Semi or Tolbert can take Noah Browns production. We should be set.

I'll stand by on his impact. It doesn't move the needle for me because everyone seems to forget the '21 WR season of Coop, Lamb, a mostly healthy Gallup(hurt late) and Wilson at the WR corps.

That was a better group overall and it got us no where.

But, I'll stand by to share a final opinion 'til after the early playoff loss.

Cowboys!
You really underestimate how good CeeDee is. Cooks speed is something we have never had. Gallup needs to get healthy and earn his money but these guys a potentially the best top 3 receivers we have ever had.

and Zeke has 6 seasons with 1200+ yards. That doesn't mean he's good today.

I hate to be that guy. I like the trade for what we gave up in draft capital. He'll help us in an area we need help. I just think people are seriously overrating him based on his resume. I'm looking at a guy that's a deep speed threat approaching 30 with a very limited route tree. I'm not sure he's better than Gallup at this stage of his career.

I DO like the trade. I just think the way the Cowboys operate this takes us out of the running for adding another big weapon on offense. I dont think Cooks is enough to catapult an offense that couldnt get it done against San Fran. That's why I'm slightly disappointed about what this means big picture for the roster.
Cooks is a quality #2 receiver, certainly far better then Noah Brown. This is just one piece of the pie for the offense, still have a draft class coming where you could see RB, TE,OL and even another WR drafted.

Cooks at 12M means they can add Gallup's, who I think will bounce back this year, salary to that and that's the same as a WR1's.

In the return on investment, this deal has a lot to like about it.

If they can stay healthy, this could be one of the top 3 WR corps in the league this year.

And the thing I like best about Cooks is the most underrated attribute a receiver can have, really good hands. Too much about the speed and separation and not enough about the single most critical part of the position.

Cooks has two years on his contract. Next year he is due $13 million in salary. He is a legit 4.3 guy, he ran a 4.30 at the combine when he came out of college. My concern is more about chemistry. He was unhappy in Texas, which one can understand, but being vocal about it is disruptive to the team. I am not saying he is a cancer or will be. But it is a concern of mine. We will have to wait and see what happens if Dak ignores him for a few games.
Dude Houston was not even trying to win games last year.... of course cooks was sick of it.

Those tight ends aren't difference makers and they carry three tight ends and this draft is full of very good tight ends
I get that but we also need difference makers on offensive line and the interior defensive line. There are so many other positions to go tight end isn't one of them for me personally. I think Ferguson can be as good as Schultz if not better.

It's gotten old...people trying to talk football, for or against the move and he's dropping stupid comments.....
But then you come in with a stupid (off topic) comment. Then I follow that up with a stupid (off topic) comment, then, and then, and on, and on.......

You see what I'm saying?

In order to win they still need a first rounder at TE or RB to support the deficiencies in the most obvious place.

This aint hard.
Then when it fails, along with having a new playcaller, the reason for failure list will repeat itself as it does every year while ignoring the actual reason.
