TRADED Texans trade WR Brandin Cooks to Cowboys

Most of us wanted Hopkins but This is a great deal. 29 year old receiver with 11 million in cap and only traded a 5 and 6. We were about to trade a 2nd at deadline for cooks. This is a steal.

Cooks has two years on his contract. Next year he is due $13 million in salary. He is a legit 4.3 guy, he ran a 4.30 at the combine when he came out of college. My concern is more about chemistry. He was unhappy in Texas, which one can understand, but being vocal about it is disruptive to the team. I am not saying he is a cancer or will be. But it is a concern of mine. We will have to wait and see what happens if Dak ignores him for a few games.

The compensation sounds acceptable, but the player is rather underwhelming.

hes had the same career as cooper hes put up plenty of 1k+ yard seasons and some with BAD QBS, seriously the overrating of Amari and then statements like this for payers with the same career prodcution is underwhelming lOL

I imagine there are not two happier Cowboys than Lamb and Gallup about getting Cooks. He's that deep threat from the wideout position that can really help open up the offense. And he seems to play well with others.

Best thing is that they got him in time to get fully acclimated and play backyard ball with Dak and Friends. Getting him introduced as a weapon early on can really help the pass and run game.

Best thing for him is he is with a team that wants and needs him and it is a contender. This should make him feel like he's jump started his career again after laboring in obscurity and playing for a team interested in draft position.
