So you wanted Hopkins, the guy that put up these numbers the past two years?Brandon Cooks reminds me of Sam Bradford....good not great and one every team needed but no one wanted....I would rather signed a NT and drafted a WR at 26....I would take DHOP for 2nd...if the price was right,....Cooks is a 1yr deal at 12mil....Cowboys will be back in the WR market again next year....still think a NT is a bigger need than WR
There aren’t any great NT free agents. The only big time interior dlinemen were given massive contracts.Brandon Cooks reminds me of Sam Bradford....good not great and one every team needed but no one wanted....I would rather signed a NT and drafted a WR at 26....I would take DHOP for 2nd...if the price was right,....Cooks is a 1yr deal at 12mil....Cowboys will be back in the WR market again next year....still think a NT is a bigger need than WR
He played 4 games and was very limited. No touchdowns. Made some big plays against the Eagles. The guy was in semi retirement.Looks like there were a couple of things you didn’t notice too. Hilton gets open and makes a great catch on 3rd and 30 to basically save the win against the Eagles at home. Then he gets himself open again for a sure TD in the 49ers game but Dak makes the wrong read.
The front office has changed this offseason, actually using the trade market to roster build. I really like both Gilmore and Cooks and all they gave up was 3 day 3 picks, excellent trades!Jerry is literally shocking me!!!!!
Did someone steal his cell phone and do these deals?
Lol!!!!
64-717-3 last year57-699-3 last year.
Never had a double digit TD season in his career.
Opinions vary.weird of you.
this is the kind of deal that if any other team made it (after we ponied up for nuk) the board would be complaining that we stay over paying and being outsmartedI like this better than OBJ.
At least we're putting forth an effort and that's more than we usually do.
I ain't mad at it.
What “big weapon” is out there that you think they should get?and Zeke has 6 seasons with 1200+ yards. That doesn't mean he's good today.
I hate to be that guy. I like the trade for what we gave up in draft capital. He'll help us in an area we need help. I just think people are seriously overrating him based on his resume. I'm looking at a guy that's a deep speed threat approaching 30 with a very limited route tree. I'm not sure he's better than Gallup at this stage of his career.
I DO like the trade. I just think the way the Cowboys operate this takes us out of the running for adding another big weapon on offense. I dont think Cooks is enough to catapult an offense that couldnt get it done against San Fran. That's why I'm slightly disappointed about what this means big picture for the roster.
Stay bitter and upset lol.Recklessly posted based on legit salary cap sites? Okay. Go about with your accusations and false representations while I enjoy my blueberry pancakes with a strawberry compote.
If Eagles did this move? It would've said championship.this is the kind of deal that if any other team made it (after we ponied up for nuk) the board would be complaining that we stay over paying and being outsmarted
Why do people keep saying go get a tight end they have Mckeon, Ferguson and Hendershot and just drafted Ferguson....Now go draft a tight end, a DT, a OT, RB and a linebacker
Cooks has two years on his contract. Next year he is due $13 million in salary. He is a legit 4.3 guy, he ran a 4.30 at the combine when he came out of college. My concern is more about chemistry. He was unhappy in Texas, which one can understand, but being vocal about it is disruptive to the team. I am not saying he is a cancer or will be. But it is a concern of mine. We will have to wait and see what happens if Dak ignores him for a few games.Brandon Cooks reminds me of Sam Bradford....good not great and one every team needed but no one wanted....I would rather signed a NT and drafted a WR at 26....I would take DHOP for 2nd...if the price was right,....Cooks is a 1yr deal at 12mil....Cowboys will be back in the WR market again next year....still think a NT is a bigger need than WR
