I don't get the whole Basketball thing. I thought the Horns agreed to allow him to play both? I wonder if this is about who the Horns Basketball team is recruiting or signing or maybe not signing? I wonder if this has to do with Ridley? If memory serves, Ridley was interested in Baylor as well and he has not officially signed with Texas.

Ridley signed in April. He's officially a Longhorn.

6'1" is short for all of the positions really but they say he has long arms which helps.

we pretty much have the best OC in the country coming in so it wouldn't make sense to have him try and learn that position and compete. They are going to want him on the field asap because he already has college level strength and at the very least won't be moved.

6'1 is short but Casey Hampton could not have been that tall when he played for Texas. Short, stubby, strong as an ox, mean as a snake and one of the best players I ever saw come out of the program. Maybe lighting will strike twice?

possibly, but I'd say hampton has as quick a first step as any big man in the game and I don't see that from this guy. I honestly think he will be a guard, if his arms are really as long as they say, he will be able to anchor so naturally and play with great leverage and won't be moved in pass pro

Why is "aggy" considered an insult? I'm genuinely curious, I've never understood it.

who said it was? also isn't it 'aggie'

It is spelled "Aggie", but I always see Texas, Baylor and Tech fans spelling it "aggy" in the context of condescending comments (kind of like "t-sip", I guess). I just never got the jab.

t-sip?

i haven't seen that nor have used it, at least intentionally, it may just be to intentionally misspell it to show disrespect

The people harrassing someone because of a twitter argument are worse than the people having the twitter argument.

Some people take this internet thing way too seriously.

it wasn't because of a twitter argument, it was because a college grad was harassing a high school student because of the school he committed to. Dude got what he deserved imo and would say the same if the situation were reversed (aggie commit, longhorn, or any college graduate)

Anyone who takes the internet into real life is a certified loser in my book.
