Texas Rangers 2012 Thread

The Rangers just aren't the same this year. They had one great month in April and that's it...they've been "just getting by" the rest of the way. After two straight losses in the championship series, it's just too much of a climb again, especially in baseball, with the long season

Rangers went 27-28 in July-Aug '10 and 27-28 in May-June '11. They still got to the WS each year so turn your frown into a smile or at least a non-committal blank look.

the problem is we have better competition this year in the division and the entire AL.

The extra month of baseball in back-to-back seasons will take it's toll. They certainly don't have their edge, but maybe they'll rally

They'll be ok... adding Dempster was a HUGE move...

With the talent on this team they have a short window and adding top talent is a key...

The Angels are loaded... but so are the Rangers... we'll be in the mix when all is said and done...

I don't agree that Dempster is HUGE move. It was an important move considering the rotation woes but Dempster isn't a TORP (top of rotation pitcher) like the team was looking for. I think we got a good deal in the trade but this wasn't a big impact move like the Lee trade a couple of years ago.

His peripheral stats (e.g. swinging strike rate, batting average of balls in play) suggest that his ERA isn't indicative of his true ability level. He's not bad but he's not a true sub-3.0 talent.

This was a good move considering the cost but it is not the piece that puts us over the top. He can help, for sure, but only if the bats start producing.

Angels are stacked but i think the As are actuallt even better.

I'm really sick of Kinsler. How long do we have him signed for?

They did this last year as well around this time. Wash needs to get in their butts with a team meeting. Wheels are falling off. 6 Walks? Holy cow

Definitely need a team meeting.

You know it's sad when the top of the lineup comes around and you know they are going to leave guys on base. We'll see what they do here with Nap on 2nd.

Damn Beltre just missed two meatballs go with Elvis third. Should be down one or tied up but I'll take that inning.

Forgot to give a shout out to David Murphy for getting that well deserved award tonight. He's also having a big game. Glad somebody is showing him some love with the award.

What? Kin was 2-4 with an RBI and a run scored. Btw, he just hit a HR to tie the game.

FYI. Kinsler isn't a super star, but he is definitely one of the best second basemen in the league.

I agree Kinsler is definitely one of the best 2B you'll find. He said that after his error though that led to the blow up inning before he had a hit.

edit: Is there a stat for catchers getting hit in the face? Cause I'm pretty sure Napoli leads the league.

we need to win this game.

Indeed, momentum is on our side we better win it. Got Dempster on the mound tomorrow, maybe we come out with a split.

FUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ianetta? You have got to be kidding me.

Rangers are in one of the worst free falls I've ever seen right now. After that HR, I had to shut MLB.tv down. The last week or so and all the ****ing injuries are making me sick.
