Texas has more black people than any other state, way more than California and way more than New York. Texas is one of the most diverse states in the US. There are more black folks in DFW than Los Angeles (metro area) also more in Houston than LA.

The Cowboys are the local embarrassment.

Not that it really changes anything, but the Mavericks have only been to 2 Finals won 1 and lost 1 both against the Heat. They did make 3 Conference Finals.

51 yrs is long enough for a franchise without the WS champs flag flying in the stadium .
