Texas strong or weak?

Turned down by even Sterlin Gilbert! It's not looking good for Charlie Strong...it looks like these OCs are hesitant to commit to him when he could be out of a job in a year. Tom Herman, come on down

Looks like Strong has job security now that the university president is backing him and has no choice. They went all out for Gilbert...why not pull out all the stops for Sonny Cumbie

wow.how the mighty have fallen.this is hilarious and sad at the same time.imo the best course of action would be to stick with Strong for 2 more easons but they need to fix their QB situation first and foremost.

Gilbert is a young Briles, without the arrogance.

The offense will score, and his connection with HS coaches will score some recruits.

Not a bad move for the program, and Strong got a big vote of confidence.

I actually think Heard is going to be a good QB for Texas going forward. He needs a little experience and he needs to get stronger but I think he will be a good QB for the Horns. I do agree with you thou, in that, Texas has a ways to go. They need to recruit well on both sides of the line. I am actually shocked that they have not been able to be more successful here. They have had a hard time bringing in good line talent IMO. That needs to get fixed for sure.

I pretty much expect another lack luster season from the Horns. They'll probably win one or two more games, but that's about it.

They need a competent QB. Putting strictly athletes under center because they can run, but lack what's between the ears is not going to bode well for any team.

I don't really see Heard as a guy who is not intelligent enough to play the position. I just think he needs time to develop. I actually expect him to play much better next season then he did this year and I don't really think he played all that poorly this season, considering the situation. Maybe I'm overly optimistic.
