Can't understand why the team looked so good against OU and so weak against ISU. The offense only had 204 yards, 88 passing. Heard was ineffective, and Swoopes is still limited.
Had only 11 first downs. Weren't competitive.
Embarrassing.

I would not be surprised if Texas doesn't put out fillers to the University of Houston's coach.

Considering the fact that the offense didn't get past the ISU's 47 until the last 90 seconds, I'd have to agree.
I don't have an explanation for such an anemic performance - we'll see what the coach has to say about such a Strong odor from this game.

What really sucks about that is that the Cougars had Briles and Sumlin.. Got a taste of success and was gone. I'm more angry about Sumlin, because the distraction of A&M totally made Houston bomb their chances to get a BCS bowl. Guy just got here and folks are already talking about swiping him. Hopefully, Herreman will stay and continue to take Houston to the next level. Can't get there when everyone keeps leaving.

I think If a team like Houston or a team like Memphis...Who think they might get an invite to the Big 12 and the HC stays there instead of moving on because he figures the team will be able to give him a raise.
I know someone big booster for Houston has been lobbying for the Big 12 to take them but I think it is a long shot since they already have the Texas market represented by so many Texas teams.

Big 12 has never wanted Houston and will never add them. And the way Houston's luck is, they'd get added and then the Big 12 disbands ala the Big East. lol
I think the goal should be to grow into a beast mid-major ala Boise State.
