Texas @ Texas Tech... HOOK IT!

I agree... at this point... but I'm not sure Alabama could beat the fourth best team in the Big 12..

Yeah they could, because they actually play defense in the SEC. Big 12 football = flag football, no defense is played in that conference.

Why should OU be ranked ahead of Texas?

Texas beat OU, Mizzou, and Ok St. and lost on a last second TD on the road to TT......

I think UT should be ahead of OU, Florida, and USC....

Will they be ahead of UT?

What do you think UT's ranking will be?

have you seen the scores in the SEC this year...the only game that defense was played was the 3-2 contest that Auburn won.

The reason the Big 12 looks bad defensively is because 8 of the top QBs in the nation are in that conference, including 4 front runners for the Heisman

This is a funny post. The object of the game is to win. When you win by 35+, that is still a win, right?

Im an OU fan and dont think we should be ranked higher.
Too bad OU will be....

Those stupid pollster rank you on how your playing presently...

I think most here would agree that Texas was in for a butt-whippin' of a lifetime after their pathetic play in the 1st half. Talk about a Jekyl and Hyde performance! With that said, I have to give credit to TT - they're in the driver's seat right now in the Big XII. Leach has done an excellent job with this current group of players and there's no reason why they can't compete with any team out there - they proved that tonight.

For the Longhorns, after a dismal performance in the 1st half, they really showed me something out there (especially in the 4th qtr). Just a flat-out gutsy performance with only a Gideon butterfingered int away from pulling out the victory tonight.

I just hope the pollsters will be kind to the Longhorns. They shouldn't fall any further than 5th in the polls - that's what happened to the Sooners (and we beat them by 10 on a neutral field).

We'll see...

IMO the rankings SHOULD be (but the voters will screw it up)

1 - Alabama
2 - Texas Tech
3 - Penn St.
4 - Texas
5 - OU
6 - USC
7 - Florida
8 - Oklahoma St.
9 - Utah
10 - Boise St.

So if Texas just falls on the squib kick does time run out?

Man, it's been a long time since I've seen a team blow one like Texas did there. How many drops were there that game? If Shipley catches that bomb for a touchdown, or that safety catches that one there at the end, Texas wins. Those were as easy of catches as you'll ever see.

Dont let your obivious hate for Oklahoma skew any of your rankings there.

Texas was #4 or 5 when Oklahoma lost to them. Where was TT ranked?

If Oklahoma wins out and gets the wins over OSU and TT. They will be in the NC game.

They don't even have to play in the championship game to make it into the NCG.

Wow that was a great game. Tech blew a lot of chances in the second half and it nearly came back to get them.

WEST TEXAS FOOTBALL.. SILLY HORNS!!!!

WRECK 'EM TECH!!!!!!!!!

problem is, the sooners are back and have a bat in their hand and are ready to take another swing.

mixed feelings about this one

Alabama will probably lose one before it's all said and done PSU probably won't. UT still has a shot be it a very small one to get back on track if they don't get dropped too far, OU and OSU needs to beat TT though.

I hate to break it to you, but if OU beats TT and OSU, and UT wins their last 3 games, then UT goes on to the Big 12 Championship game. If they win that, they get the top seed in the Big 12, and most likely the opportunity for a National Championship game.
