I live in Houston and while I like living here you are right not much of a tourist town. However I do see these big open air tour buses with people on them and keep wondering what the heck these people seeing? lol

I don't dislike Houston (except for the traffic most of the time). Spent quite a bit of time in/around Houston way back - used to go to AstroWorld when it was open. Saw the 'Stros at the Dome a number of times, back in the Mike Scott/Nolan Ryan era. Used to cruise up and down Westheimer in the 80's when that was a thing (is that still a thing? lol).

I think there are plenty of things to do if you live in Houston, and there's good eating too. Most of that isn't really unique though. If I lived in NJ and had never been to Texas and was considering a visit to Houston, I just can't imagine what I could see that would make a strong impression on me, other than NASA/Space Center Houston. If you're from NJ, you've likely seen all of the sites in NYC and Philadelphia, and Houston really doesn't have stuff like that. All in my opinion, of course.

Houston is a good place to work, I will say that. As you said traffic yes it can be a pain but then Houston is the 4th largest city in the US so it should be expected. As for things to do there are plenty in and around Houston but not the tourist type things. As for Westheimer like you, me and friends would cruise that strip not sure if younger people do that today.

Thanks Sam

Can't really wait. I will make the trip and drive north for sure :)

I sure am glad you two struck up a lasting friendship. All from an extra ticket, and a shot in the dark offer on the CowboysZone. This is what it's all about, folks. This is what makes life and living so special. You just really never know what it has in store for you. Let this be a lesson to us all, that good can be found in the strangest of places. Who would have ever thought two strangers, a Cowboy and a Giant, could go to a game together so randomly, have a great time, and become lasting friends?? I think I am gonna have a beer in yall's honor.
I dedicate this beer to the wonderful new friendship between Shunpike and Sam.

And Shunpike, I told you that you were a cool dad. Look at you, gonna take your boy to a Cowboys game for Christmas (hopefully). You are totally awesome, dude! And when you come to Texas, where ever you take your family, yall have fun and stay safe, buddy. And Merry Early Christmas to yall.:)
