I think he plays again next week.

Not sure I am thanking Rush for the wins, but thanks for not screwing it up and giving us enough at the QB position.
You’re such a hater. It’s okay to admit that Rush has done his job really well.

You paint me a hater all of the time. But it’s YOU who irrationally refuses to give credit to players because you have a working vendetta against them.

You’re right in a roundabout way.

Rush’s success gives us the luxury of sitting Dak until he’s truly 100%, and I don’t think he’ll be 100% next Sunday. When Romo used to get hurt midseason, he had to rush him back ASAP because we couldn’t win without him.

We have the formula to win behind our defense and run game, with Rush making big-time throws when needed.
They won't do that to Dak.

It's not just a 5-0 team. It's our biggest rival on Sunday Night Football that happens to be 5-0.

They won't put that pressure on Dak even if he is 100%. That want to protect their investment and Dak has a bad habit of wilting when the pressure is on. The pressure would be crazy next week for him.

They'd prefer we lose with Rush instead of with Dak next Sunday. That way they can bring Dak back for a much more manageable game.

The real problems come if we win next week with Rush.

lol you know we are in ageee

The Cowboys aren’t going to be able to keep relying on winning games by passing for < 150 yards.

Do I think Dak is “the answer”? You know I don’t.

But I do think that defenses are starting to key in on Rush’s limitations.

Dak’s ceiling is higher than Rush’s ceiling. That’s what I’m saying.

what’s funny is you’re making condescending comments purely because I say Dak might be the better option. And if you’ve been watching the last couple games, I don’t understand how you could possibly disagree

Dak's ceiling is lower than Rush but let us be patient as I figure you will be one of the first ones here calling for Rush to return under center after Dak starts laying those inaccurate eggs again and again.

If Dak is healthy he may be the key to beating the Eagles. Im no Dak supporter but i think with Rush the Defense is just out there too much and injuries are mounting. Keep the game plan "rush" like and bring Dak in and we may beat the Eagles..........

Our passing game sucks…get real! We won today because of our running game and defense. We’ve won every game because of our defense. Rush isn’t making any mistakes but we need more production in the passing game.
Rush and offense does just enough and the defense does more than enough.
It's obvious that the offense has issues, starting with KMO. He needs to give Dak and Rush a break and call better games. The Oline needs to be stabilized. Lots of coming and going.

Thank you, man. You and I are much the same. I’ve been called a Dak hater for years, but I’m not going to let my discontent for him as a QB blind me from being objective.

Same standard I had with Dak and Romo. I just want the better players to start - still believe Romo should have taken the job back in 2016 and think Prescott should have it back when he's healthy.

Though, I do agree with others, let Dak get to as close to 100% as possible before throwing him in. Don't want Eagles to be his first game back.

You don’t play Dak if he isn’t 100%. Not sure why we’re all looking to bring him back so quickly. The season is still young. At 4-1 you let him heal completely. You’ll need him for the 2nd half of the season and into the playoffs.

Why? You dance with the one who "brung ya." The most ideal situation in football is when you're winning games with only having to throw a dozen passes a game. This isn't Madden or fantasy...the only thing that counts is the score at the end of the game.

Sure...bring Dak back. Maybe he'll exceed the three points the offense mustered under his command in Week One.

I'd rather see this team win slugfests, as opposed to getting sucked into track meets.

I’m not saying bench Rush but we have to get more production from our passing game. If we couldn’t have run the ball today and our defense wasn’t so outstanding we wouldn’t have had any chance. We can’t keep depending on our defense every week to win games. Our D put up six of our points. We also can’t keep depending on Maher making every kick. The Cowboys have a real chance to be a great team this year if they can get their passing game on track. It’s going to be difficult to hold opponents under 20 points every week.

Wishful thinking.

We faced Philly on SNF last year in a much-hyped game and Dak beat the **** out of them, like he usually does.

Dak will play whenever he’s 100%. 6-8 weeks is what they initially said. Next week will be 5 weeks.

No.

Dak will get his job back when Rush plays horrible and we lose.

There's no way they put a guy like Dak, who wilts under pressure, back in against the undefended divisional rival on Sunday Night football. You're just asking for trouble.

It'll be another week of him not being able to grip the ball.

As much as I have absolutely loved watching Cooper Rush play quarterback I know DAk is coming back at some point soon.
Cooper Rush proved to cowboy nation that there's more than one way to play quarterback and win in the NFL.

In my opinion DAk should come back and be able to lead us to a win against the eagles and play well.
This is what he is being paid to do come back and beat the best of the best there is no room for any excuses All of his were used up in week one.

Cooper Rush has left DAk The absolute best possible situation and he should be able to come back and take full advantage of it.

If this is not the case it proves positive that it is time for us to use a high draft pick and draft a quarterback.
With this defense there is absolutely no reason for Dak to lose to anyone in The NFC.

Dak has all the tools on this team to get the job done.
More than adequate weapons on offense and offensive line that an immobile backup quarterback can operate behind.

Good special teams play
And a shutdown defense
Now put your big boy pants on and let's get it done.

It’s our defense doing more than enough that’s winning games. I haven’t seen a Cowboys defense like this since they were winning Super Bowls in the early 90s.

When Dak comes back we can't go back to being pass happy....our best seasons the last 10 years have been when we ran the ball....Dak need to be an elite bus driver.

I can't stress this enough......

This is a new year and both teams have new players on their rosters.

Whatever happened last years means absolutely nothing this year.

Bravo to Cooper Rush. He did everything you could possibly ask for of a backup QB and helped us win 4 straight games.

Having said that, I believe it’s time for Dak to come back.

Rush has been solid but he’s also shown how limited he is the last couple weeks. Granted, his WRs didn’t help him today with all the drops; but I believe, despite the flaws of his own, Dak objectively puts us in the best spot to potentially go on a playoff run.

So here we are. 4-0 with Cooper Rush at the helm, and our starting QB should be back in the fold when we face the Eagles next week. I really really hope that they force Dak to play more within the design of the called play and stop giving him so many freedoms. If they reign that in a bit, I think Dak can be very successful.

Cooper Rush, I appreciate your service! My hat is tipped to you, sir.
You are out your mind

CeeDee and Gallup didn't do him any favors... But, like I was saying in another thread, I think the actual big reason we do so well with Rush is because of the mistakes he prevents pre-snap.
I think he is doing a lot pre-snap in a lot of situations, that has prevented mistakes that could have been bad.

Couple big drops today too on 3rd downs but thankfully it didn't matter. WR's need to do their job as well. The offense did what it had to today but you're right. Definitely will need more from the passing game against the better teams on the schedule. Without doubt.

There's NO WAY they bring Dak back against the Eagles after going 4-0 with Rush.
It something Jerry would do though. Could you imagine how much coverage the team would get if they brought Dak back and he played poorly and lost?

Jerry's the type that thinks there is no such thing as bad publicity. And it would be the lead story for the next two weeks
