That was an embarrassing effort today, no doubt. But thankfully, about 90% of the positional players we saw today won’t be playing much when it starts counting.

Preseason counts almost zero toward what a team really is. So don’t get too wrapped up thinking the crap football being sold as NFL football is anything more than an exhibition in Cowboys uniforms.

I do have serious concerns about this soft culture as evidenced for years around here. We’ve been one of the softest teams in the league for far too long. That has nothing to do with ps games. That has to do with the fool running this team and his nepotistic son, who qualified for his lifetime position the night Daddy bought the team.

The last preseason game is often, and this is one, where the coaches want to get one last look at borderline players, like Burton. It's to determine who the last few players are on the 53 and the practice squad. And they have to play the last preseason game and don't want to risk injury to either starters or the first backups.

Nothing more.
