Kupp is the best receiver in the league. He had a perfect pass from Stafford. Those two won a Superbowl doing that. They are no joke. Don't attack Diggs for that one play. Revis, Sanders, Renfro, Adderly, Haynes, Hayes, Blount, and Walls weren't perfect either.

Just admire how good Kupp is, and he got his play in. He is elite for a reason. Don't tear down Diggs.
.....is there a memo out to never discuss plays by Diggs, that I didn't get? Love Diggs. I'm just wondering. As for Kupp, you ain't said one thing that is new to me, about him.

One play. But that's exactly how not to play Kupp. Cannot let him run free after the catch like that. Let him make the catch then tackle him.

I was actually surprised Kupp outran the Cowboys defenders the way he did. I thought he was a 4.5 guy.

What seems new to you is how good Kupp is. Otherwise we would have never been in this discussion. It was a great play. Diggs and Brown did their jobs for most the game, and we spanked the champs on their home turf. Just be happy with that.

muck4doo.....give the memo to the Zeke bashers, excuse makers, or thread removers......not me, as I like Diggs on our team too. I'm happy this morning, and with the win. No censorship required.

it was a great route, and the pass was only where HE could either catch it or it would fall incomplete. Sometimes great players make plays and u must acknowledge that. Diggs makes plays in his own right, but that one wasn't on him.Its a case where the pass and route was just perfect. Live to fight another down.

Was a great play by the best wide receiver in football.

It was a good call, too. Diggs is at his best when he's moving north and south-ish. They got him isolated in the slot and had him chasing an east/west route. The only way to really handle that is with inside leverage to force the receiver to the outside. However, with the Rams lining up three receivers on the other side, I think we figured Kupp would be trying to head up the field on the other side with one-on-one coverage and wanted to cut him off. He went inside immediately and Diggs was in a trailing position. The only thing you can do at that point is stick close and hope the QB doesn't lead the receiver. In this case, Stafford almost led Kupp too much.

I remember when the only way it seemed like you could beat the great Deion Sanders was with a similar type of route, getting him moving sideways instead of north and south. And you still couldn't beat him often even with those.

For the life of me, I can't understand why Diggs didn't just cut the route - he was looking right at the ball. Easy pick six!
Stafford made a great throw and Cupp an amazing catch. Diggs tried to undercut the route for a play on the ball, but Stafford got it out in front of the receiver.

what CB on the planet earth makes that stop, let alone cut and pick 6? One of, if not the best WR in the NFL made that play happen
Kupp couldn't make that catch 5 out 10 times, he literally tipped it to himself with the tips of his fingers. That throw another inch towards the sideline it is incomplete.

The problem with this play wasn't Diggs.
It was the safety behind Kupp going to the ground trying for the Int.
He thought the past was to far in front of Kupp.
Instead, he should had played the receiver.
During the replay, you could see the safety's arms hitting the ground behind Kupp (maybe diving) while going for the ball.
I did not see any other view of this and the annoucers failed to mention it.
Last line of defense, you have to play the receiver there.
Yep that's right. Diggs started behind on the route playing a bit off and Kupp did a quick underneath. Diggs has to have some help on the tackle. Yes he got burned but it is on the whole secondary for the 75 yards afterwards!

Let's face it. Kupp is an elite receiver, and sometimes they make great plays. Nothing to sweat.
Yep, we all knew he was gonna get his. Even at that, they did a decent job keeping him from making plays that hurt us.

Right. If you have a man under and over, and they both go for the ball, one of them damn well better get it.

I wish to see the Zoners who posted "what do the Rams have that we don't?", "how can the Rams afford this?".... blah blah blah. People need to stop dwelling on the past. Moving forward, the Rams went five years without being below .500 a single time under McVay. This season alone, they’ve fallen below .500 twice.

The touchdown is on Wilson as much as Diggs. Last line of defense and jumped the wrong route. And Kearse? I never want to see him on the line in press coverage. He got beat like a dog on that wheel route and for that he had his back to the play. If Stafford waited one more second he had a TD on his man too.

Yep both safeties getting burned going for INTs lead to this

I think he was too far behind, Kupp had to stretch to reach the ball barely and he was a step ahead off Diggs, not sure but that was the way it looked on TV
This is exactly it. Kupp made a one-handed reach to stop the ball and catch it -- it was the only place Kupp could catch it and Diggs couldn't at least block. Hats off to them.

Let's just face it .....Cooper Kupp roasted Diggs on that play, and showed some speed.

Yep, no other way to see it. But that's how Diggs plays. He trails and baits the QB. He challenges the QB to make the best pass. One mistake and it's going the other way.
