I swear some people watch these games with blinders on. This consistent fallacy that Zeke picks up tough yards or that he is a powerback. His yards after contact are horrendous. He can't make the 1st defender miss anymore.

He is too slow to get around the edge. He falls with every slap to the ankle. He he gets a hand off and plots forward for 2 yds then falls. Rinse and repeat. Then the same group of guys will come in and say it's lack of blocking or the defending team's defense which is responsible for his lack of production.

At this point of his career Zeke is ivory spring. He was an excellent running back before Dallas wore him out and injuries sat in. But currently he is a drain on the offense. Every carry given to him is a waste and puts Dallas in 2nd and long or 3rd and long.
Such a waste

Yup, another one calls you out on your bs. I get it, you like Zeke, but you don't have to lie Craig, you don't have to lie!
I told the truth and you and the other dude do not like it. Stop your usual BS.
And DON'T call me a liar.

I am done with you, stop wasting my time as well as everyone else's with your petty crap. So just stop.
I’m not being petty. All I said was that pollard breaks more tackles. You said he doesn’t. I then sent a link showing evidence he does.

You got mad and just repeated your same proclamation and refuse to back it up.

You’re the one being petty.

I don't believe that. Guys like Henry, Jacobs, Chubb all rank pretty high in broken tackles and they go thru heavy traffic too
It's not about believe or don't believe. You don't have to take my word for it. Go back and watch the first Eagles game and the second Giants game and come back and report the number of times a defender had hands on Zeke but was unable to bring him down. According to the official scorekeeper it only happened twice each game. Please go watch those games and come back and tell me how many YOU counted. Then let's talk..

But why are Chubb, Henry, and Jacob ranked high if they run thru heavy traffic too?

Every dog has it's day. The reason fof the discussion is we just cant afford both Zeke and Tony and most eyes would say that Pollard gives us a more varied running game, especially as a size first (limited)RB should be available in middle rounds of the draft (where speed goes in first couple if rounds).

I would think the answer here would be very simple. In addition to the 200 carries up the gut they ALSO get 100 carries to the edges as well. In our offense Pollard gets most of those. And he should.. he's faster and quicker. Zeke gets 2 or 3 of those a game if that. The rest go to TP. We have to accept that the Cowboys have chosen this two back path. The backs certainly have.. Why can't we fans?

I think what would surprise most people if they watched more of other teams is how often those teams get their guys to the second level untouched. It's astounding. I don't think their lines are any more talented than ours, maybe they are, but their run schemes are definitely superior. Especially that guy in Cleveland. And of course the next opponent does a pretty good job scheming up the run as well.

Pollard is the ideal RB in this era of NFL offense. Similar to a Kamara, Eckler or McCaffrey. No you're not going to pound him 20 times between the Guards. But he can effectively run b/t the tackles, attack the perimeter and more importantly a major receiving threat. Divvy that up into 20 touches/game however you like.

Pollard's only issue is he gets compared to what Zeke once was in his heyday.
zeke had 1 good year. his rookie year

I cannot find one thing Zeke does that is competitive with the top backs in the league. He’s a half-dimensional battering ram very much like 20 other backs you might find on any Sunday. Most of those backs aren’t even starters. This ain’t a two-back system. It’s not a complimentary system either.

It’s an owner holding back the rushing attack to make sure his stupid GM decision doesn’t reveal his idiocy. Been way too late for that tho.

I get the romanticizing of Zeke but any reference to him wearing down a defense, or thinking that is possible, is laughable. Who do you think defenses and their D coordinators want to run the ball for Dallas?

I think we are in playoffs. this is where you play your best regardless of contract. Pollard is right now better than Zeke. zeke should be 2nd string and we start pollard and zeke gives him a break. at this point we have to lean on pollard because he gives us a dimention on offense that creates tons of mismatches.
Hey bruh It is playoff time and titles mean next to nothing. Starting Back? Who cares Zeke or Tony I want both of them to play I want both of them play well. I couldn't care less who starts, I couldn't care less who get's the Bulk of the carries

I do want to see both of them combined for 200 yards we get that type of production, we'll win going away

No.

The biggest difference between him and Zeke is that Pollard is clearly better at everything. I don't care about his muscles.

Zeke is your guy though, so who care about what's best for the team, right?

If you need 1 yard Zeke will get ya 1 yard. If you need 3 yards Zeke will get ya 1 yard.
So true and I love Zeke. I'm just realistic and believe in what I see.

I wish Malik Davis would get more carries. He's quick to the hole and decisive.
