No one has ever said Pollard can’t block and run inside??? Lol huhwhaaat???

People acted like he was some kind of liability because he might give up a sack once or twice a month.

Yeah don't get grey hairs over him he didn't have any coffee this morning

No.

The biggest difference between him and Zeke is that Pollard is clearly better at everything. I don't care about his muscles.

Zeke is your guy though, so who care about what's best for the team, right?

If you need 1 yard Zeke will get ya 1 yard. If you need 3 yards Zeke will get ya 1 yard.

If you need 3 he will get you 1 lol lol lol lol lol truth

The myth that he's just a speed back and can't run tough. I think he's more than proven this over the last year. You can't tell me that you haven't seen him run into guys and he is still getting yards. I guess there's just going to forever be that stigma over his head that speed backs are just what they are.

I think he's proven people wrong. I heard Troy Aikman also allude to the fact of how strong he's seen him run. Not that I'm basing anything off what these guys say on TV, but I've seen him do it often. It's time to give him his props!!

He's tougher than what you think, heck he's from Memphis "MANE"
He certainly LOOKS tough enough. But im a show me guy. I dont imagine. Tonys gonna actually have to take the sll game all season load first.
Hes never done it so how do you know?
Ill be cheering him on the whole way.

Will everyone be upset when they can't afford TP next year? Will Zeke restructure his contract?

BREAKING NEWS: When cowboys fans discuss a player on here in depth, and criticize them, we shelter somehow HATE said player. It's a crappy comeback and weird way of thinking. It's like we only have to say nice things about these players or that's it

I think Pollard is great running and Receiving if there is a weakness if it is his pass protection. That is a concern but I would not let him go via FA because of it.
As for power he has shown he can use speed and power, he can run between the tackles or outside.

What I get from this. We better sign TP, if the price is right. He's proved how valuable he is. Heck, he might be the home run hitter this Sunday.

Sure, although contact is also a product of his struggling to make people miss and/or outrun defenders at this stage.

I don’t dislike Zeke. I’ve always liked him. He just needs to be relegated to a minor role the remainder of these playoffs and then cut for salary cap purposes in the offseason. Unfortunately he has hit the RB wall and it’s over.

He was doing a fine job in that regard before the knee and then looked good up until that second Thursday night game at Tennessee. I think that second quick turnaround took the last of the gas out of his tank. It is what it is man. In football guys get worn down, banged up, beat up and hurt. I think Zeke will be fine with rest, but he isn't going to get any of that until the pre-Super Bowl break.

1. I don’t dislike Zeke.

2. Yes it is entirely to do with your feelings. Unless you want to offer up proof that Zeke breaks more tackles. As opposed to just denying the fact without anything to back up your assertion. Up to this point you’ve offered nothing but your feeling.
and again YOU ARE WRONG....you keep bringing it up, so it must be you and your feelings.

Tony Pollard leads THE ENTIRE NFL in yards after contact per rush. This is not a fluke. He was 6th last year. Zeke is 35th.

If you think that Pollard is a light runner who goes down easily and Zeke is regularly blowing people up, you need your eyes checked or just a calender that shows you its not 2017 anymore.

So, is Pollard a "bell cow"? There are a grand total of 2 players getting 20 or more carries a game. Another 6 get 15 to 20. If Pollard was getting 15 carries a game, he would be among the league leaders and could certainly handle that.

Zeke used to be a great RB. He isn't anymore. Dallas' over use of him may cost them dearly.

Pollard is really good.

IDK how true it is that people dont think Pollard cant run tough. I think the bigger concern has been around the number of touches and can be a workhorse type. I think those concerns are very valid, but I also think unless you have a Derrick Henry type in todays NFL you're much better off having 2 RBs. Limit Pollards touches to keep him as explosive as possible. Had they done this more with Zeke in years prior he may have more left in the tank too.

The only issue I see with a guy like Pollard in terms of "tough running" are the short yardage/goal line situations. Zeke seems to have a clear advantage taking those runs and turning them into TDs/first downs. Pollard while I would consider him a "tough runner" it's a different style of tough than what Zeke brings to the table.

What I dont get is the Zeke vs Pollard debates. Honestly I think these two guys compliment each other perfectly and can be used in tandem very effectively.
Precisely. Its about picking up those hard nosed middle runs, 20-25 a game. Im not convinced hes so much better up the middle than zeke, but id be willing yo listen if some has real fact evidence.

And yep.....people have to make this big production on competition....instead of just enjoying the playoff run. Still doing with romo and dak. Weirdos.

This is the importance of a two back system, Pollard looks fresh. If he were the main back no way he would be looking this good getting 75 percent of the touches. If we don't use him more then Moore is a fool. He's our secret weapon. Hopefully it isn't a secret to Moore.

Question to all the people who say "don't sign a RB to a second contract." Do we? I was thinking we would tag Schultz but maybe Pollard will get it.

I also hate that Pollard gets us into the 10 yard line and then they sub him out and put Zeke in the game. I bet Tony Pollard is super frustrated with that crap. I would hate that as a RB. Especially when he has show he can get tough yards. I could see 3rd and 1 or when we are 1 to 2 yards outside of the goal line but when we 10-15 yards away? Giving the ball to Zeke is almost a wasted down unless we are trying to get 1 or 2 yards.

The knock on pollard isn’t that he can’t get the tough yards. That’s absolutely a myth, so you are right about that. The knock on pollard is he cannot handle a full workload. You can see his touches have to be monitored. He gets tired, he pulls himself out of games, and he wears down quickly. His touches have to be managed.

No he doesn't.

Not really. Having Pollard out there more does not guarantee more success.
Moore is and how he calls plays, as to not getting too pass happy. He called a great game against TB. And use the right mix of pass and run. And Dak played a great game, seeing and and taking what the defense gave.
Everyone has an opinion. Ours is just different.

Once again....abusing stats to suit your agenda.

Its a good stat....impressive! But where does contact occur? It would be foolish to say no difference in contact on handoff and in the flat.

Im not saying its like that. I do know i see dak and zeke run different plays, and tony gets stuffed nearly as much as zeke running center. I watched tony able to bounce it out and still get sacked.
Theres no doubt, zeke lost a step, and tony is more exciting. Im actually hoping zeke goes to a new team to abate the hate, and give tony a chance to prove he csn be lead back.
