New York is better than us, as are about 20 other teams in the league this year. Deal with it.

Let me explain something to you, ace.

if 20, 25, or 30 teams are better than us in the NFL this year.

Dallas only needs to be better than the one team on their schedule for that one game to get a win. There are no style points. There are no magical ESPN rankings that matter for the playoffs.

Be better than one team, for one game.

Think Philly would rather have struggled all game long and won in overtime than lose to Oakland?

We're going to win more games this season whether you like it or not. Deal with it.

I got yer back Mick. I definitely agree with what you said about the Gnats. I can't wait for the re-match in New Jersey. Bring it on!

The Cowboys are not what their record says they are.

I just dont believe in blanket statements, blanket cliche's etc.

ONE THING happens and EVERYTHING changes. THAT is what I am counting on. As much as ALOT of people like to think that history is doomed to repeat itself. Its not. The future is unwritten until its tomorrow. ;)

We have been waiting for this team to correct the stupid mistakes for more than one season now, and counting. I frankly don't think that is going to happen after all the embarassments and Wade as coach. Get a good coach and this team has the talent to contend. As long as Wade is calling the shots then this team will continue with its "aww, shucks" attitude.

This is my concern. We are waiting... and waiting........ and.............waiting. Just give me that one every changing moment.

your logic is flawed because that's who we are - a stupid *** team that turns the ball over/kills drives

I agree 100% with Yomick and wraith.

We clear this issue up and wecan start talking about doing big things again.

I hear what you're saying Yomick, and it's completely legit.

The bellyachers just need to bellyache.

The Titans just got out-talented yesterday. And then they quit. In our losses we've just done things to beat ourselves. And yes that is the identity of our team right now. But that is alot easier to fix than being out-talented. And it is possible to have it fixed almost immediately.

Not really. Not at all, actually. The NYFG and DEN games are toss-ups under any circumstance. What's mindblowing is how much our fans overreact to early season losses to good teams. Especially when Wade Phillips has a very well-defined record of success during the regular season.

Why not just wait and see whether or not we're able to fix the problems that are causing us to lose the close games to good teams?

The fans aren't reacting to losing to good teams. They are reacting to our bumbling in those losses just like we looked like fools against the Chiefs.

Some people want to judge how good this team is by what our opponents go on to do rather than by how we played them, which is fine. But I'm not concerned about Denver's final record, and I'm barely concerned about the Giants final record.

I'm only concerned about the Cowboys.

For me, what I have seen over the last 3 seasons or so is a VERY TALENTED team, seeing a corner, just about to turn it and instead they make a right turn into oncoming traffic.

Needless to say, I see a corner or two coming up. Just make that left turn guys.

I believe we are closer than some think/say. That Denver game and last almost scoring drive... I saw some good things there. Go with it Romo and the Cowboys.

Nobody is blinder than he who refuses to see... this team is not a breath away from being elite. It's a breath away from cratering. This is a team that dogpiled the endzone after beating the Chiefs in overtime. Dude, they DOGPILED for an OT win against a wasteland of a team. That tells you what this team thinks of itself. It thinks it reached the promised land in Kansas City.

You think a team like the Patriots or Saints or hell most of the league has a circle jerk for beating a crap team in OT? Nope. For all intents and purposes, KC was this teams Super Bowl. We won. Whoopie.

Pretty sure the dogpile had more to do with the player that won it and the way he won it than anything else, but whatever.

The game was pathetic enough without trying to make it seem like the team were acting like they won the superbowl after.

lmao!!!! The team wins in overtime in dramatic fashion, a lifelong Cowboy and by all accounts well-liked teammate has a breakout game and wins it in extraordinary fashion, and Johnny Q. Couchpotato decides that the team doesn't think much of itself because they stormed their teammate after a dramatic win.

You're right. They should have just headed to the locker room and acted like it wasn't no big thing so that Couch-Jockeys everywhere could declare that "the Cowboys just don't care - they're completely uninspired, just collecting paychecks".

Good grief.

Cowboys put up 31 points while Romo kills three drives with Turnovers. One more turnover for 3pts.

So lets add lets say, just to be fair HALF of the points and take them away from the Giants. You get about 43-21 Cowboys.

The Giants were scoring a whopping 3 FG's until we starting throwing it to their defenders.

I can explain more if you would like.

And I take it from your post that our turnover problem is fixed? We averaged 2.1 giveaways per game last year, making us 2nd to last in the league. We're doing a little better this year but still quite bad. So turning the ball over is something we do consistently. It is one of the biggest reasons we lose games.

This is the classic case of solving a problem by 'assuming a can opener'.

Exactly.
Let me just say. This team hasnt accompllished anything so I have no problem with them acting like the won the SB against any team. As long as they keep working on getting better etc.

The Cowboys players could really take a page out of the Yankees team this year. They are playing loose and fast and confident. A true team. AJ Burnett is a key component to this. I believe Tashard is that guy for us.

Hey Tashard, go get some pies for Austin, so when he wins the game you can pie him in front of the camera. :)

I never said that. BUT it can be corrected. I DO believe that.

If you take out the Giants game how is our average? I dont know so I am asking a serious question.

I want to call the Giants game an anomaly. I believe Romo will change during this season. Committing to run and trusting Austin and eventually trusting Roy will aid in this.

Biggest difference between us and New Orleans IMO would be the fact that they actually give their QB a good amount of time to throw and the pocket does not break down consistently.

But, That is just me.

We run the ball much better, they pass protect much better!

And by the way, the team celebrating after the win against KC actually shows that this team is getting the right mentality, not the wrong one. That is, that nothing is given to you, Cowboys don't deserve it, you have to work for it and when you fight through a game like that you deserve to celebrate.

You know the problem with fans around here is the same problem that the team has had the last few years - like they are entitled to something because they have the star on their helmet - it does not work that way.

Each years team has to earrrrrrrn. it!

Isn't our pass protection pretty good?

I dont see Romo and Brees as equals. Brees can zip a line drive deep ball, Romo cannot. To add, I dont want Romo in the pocket as much as Brees. Two different QB's.

Agreed on celebration being ok. Entitlement is an issue with our players. That has to stop.

I think the problem is that Romo has shown that this is who he is at times, and we are going to have to live with it. How frustrating is it to watch a coach we had on this team puttin up the numbers Payton is putting up?

I don't think we protect the edge near as well as I saw yesterday. Brees can take a much longer drop and not have as much concern about the ends getting around the edge.

They manhandled the Giants rush - we don't even come close to that.

From a strictly numbers standpoint, JG is performing on par with Payton.

Our offense beat up on the Giants D every bit as bad as the Saints did - noone noticed because we lost, and had every possible break go against us - but we still performed outstandingly offensively against New York.

Oh contrare, monfrare... LOL
I was there. I saw this and was going nuts.
Flew out in the morning from NY to see Romo do that. I was fuming.

Feel better now. :)
