Garrett has a poor record going up against 1st year head coaches. I would not consider the Detroit game a layup
You're wrong. It took the total meltdown in green bay in 2010 for Jerry to promote the weasel we now have as a coach.Nah. It'll happen earlier. If we lose the the Lions, Jerry will break.
You're right and it's getting to be comical. The Jerry vs Jimmy show occurred in '94 and Jerry is still trying to prove he's the better football guy. 24 years has passed since the Jimmy Jerry divorce. Almost a quarter of a century and Jerry is still butt hurt and still trying to prove he can win without Jimmy. This is not stubbornness anymore. 1-4 years maybe is being stubborn. This is pure mental illness. 24 years of being stuck on Jimmy Johnson is sick. Jerry Jones is a mentally ill man with delusions that he is a football guru. He's a very smart businessman who is very mentally ill, stuck in a Jimmy Johnson want-to-be obsession for 24 years and has reduced arguably the proudest franchise in sports to a weekly joke.Jerry did Hire Jimmy Johnson some time ago and that worked out very well for us.
He's just stuck trying to prove he can win without Jimmy and is a very stubborn man. He's going to reach his breaking point though if we hit 1-3.
Specially in training camp. Ooooooooh weeeeee we look good. Play and practice good. Only against ourselves.Cowboys remind me of the Greek myth Narcissus. They only look good to themselves. When they come out to the real world, they realize the delusion.
To add..Specially in training camp. Ooooooooh weeeeee we look good. Play and practice good. Only against ourselves.
To add..
Oooh weeeee.. Let's bubble wrap all of our offensive starters all preseason while other teams take the usual path of getting them progressive game time so they're ready to go come game 1. We're so smart.
When your owner is talking like he's the head coach and you have the only mom and pop shop run team with mediocre results. Fans need to be outraged at the Jones family first and foremost.
It's sad man. Zero play in the preseason at all. Yet another fabulous strategic faux pas by the great clapper.I guess we can count this one as preseason game 3, the dress rehearsal. Only 2 more weeks and we'll be able to see what the team can really do.
All those bullet points and yet no mention of the trash throwing the football.
The QB is not blameless but the problem is much more complex and I can pretty much guarantee it doesn't matter who you put in there. With the way our offense is running right now, they'll get blasted/shell shocked/dumbed down.Who picked the trash to be the QB?
Got off that bus during his rookie year. Good kid just not a starting caliber qb.Imagine being a dak homer...LOL
For level headed discussion around the real problems which are as follows:
I believe moving to 1-3 with a loss to the Lions next week (very possible) will force Jerry's hand. Linehan will be the first fall guy. I wouldn't be surprised if Marinelli got caught up in the shuffle. He won't fire Garrett though until the season ends. Jerry's a proud man that hates admitting he's wrong but he was wrong with handing the HC position to someone that has clearly been in over his head for years. Linehan is gonzo though if we don't beat the Lions.
- Unimaginative play calling
- A head coach that inspires no one
- Zero accountability for bonehead on field play
- A QB coach that helps no one on the field
- An offensive line that went from elite just two years ago to a real shambles
- Incredibly poor player utilization (where's Rico?)
- An environment that encourages uninspired play(see bullet #2)
3rd Down (in)Efficiency: (updated before SNF)
30. BUF: 11/42 = 26.1
31. DAL: 8/34 = 23.5
32. ARI: 7/30 = 23.3
I can’t see anything less than 1-6 at the break - I think we play 7 before our bye?
That could get any least linehan canned
"mom and pop", I like that but you may be disrespecting mom and pops around the world by putting the cowboys in that class. When your owner is talking like he's the head coach and you have the only mom and pop shop run team with mediocre results. Fans need to be outraged at the Jones family first and foremost.
