The 1-3 Thread

Jerry did Hire Jimmy Johnson some time ago and that worked out very well for us.

He's just stuck trying to prove he can win without Jimmy and is a very stubborn man. He's going to reach his breaking point though if we hit 1-3.
You're right and it's getting to be comical. The Jerry vs Jimmy show occurred in '94 and Jerry is still trying to prove he's the better football guy. 24 years has passed since the Jimmy Jerry divorce. Almost a quarter of a century and Jerry is still butt hurt and still trying to prove he can win without Jimmy. This is not stubbornness anymore. 1-4 years maybe is being stubborn. This is pure mental illness. 24 years of being stuck on Jimmy Johnson is sick. Jerry Jones is a mentally ill man with delusions that he is a football guru. He's a very smart businessman who is very mentally ill, stuck in a Jimmy Johnson want-to-be obsession for 24 years and has reduced arguably the proudest franchise in sports to a weekly joke.

I'm at the point that as Cowboys' fan I would rather lose every game for the rest of Jerry Jones' life than wallow in 8-8 mediocrity and false optimism. After 20 years or so of doing it "Jerry's way", I am convinced we will never win a super bowl and I would be more satisfied as a fan of the Cowboys for 40+ years to watch us lose every single game until Jerry dies because I feel Jerry deserves to suffer for what he's done to this franchise.

Cowboys remind me of the Greek myth Narcissus. They only look good to themselves. When they come out to the real world, they realize the delusion.
Specially in training camp. Ooooooooh weeeeee we look good. Play and practice good. Only against ourselves.

To add..

Oooh weeeee.. Let's bubble wrap all of our offensive starters all preseason while other teams take the usual path of getting them progressive game time so they're ready to go come game 1. We're so smart.

I guess we can count this one as preseason game 3, the dress rehearsal. Only 2 more weeks and we'll be able to see what the team can really do.

When your owner is talking like he's the head coach and you have the only mom and pop shop run team with mediocre results. Fans need to be outraged at the Jones family first and foremost.

10000% it all starts with the Jerry Jones clown show.

Who picked the trash to be the QB?
The QB is not blameless but the problem is much more complex and I can pretty much guarantee it doesn't matter who you put in there. With the way our offense is running right now, they'll get blasted/shell shocked/dumbed down.

We all quickly forget how good Cooper looked last preseason and how he looked like absolute trash this preseason...

For level headed discussion around the real problems which are as follows:

  • Unimaginative play calling
  • A head coach that inspires no one
  • Zero accountability for bonehead on field play
  • A QB coach that helps no one on the field
  • An offensive line that went from elite just two years ago to a real shambles
  • Incredibly poor player utilization (where's Rico?)
  • An environment that encourages uninspired play(see bullet #2)
I believe moving to 1-3 with a loss to the Lions next week (very possible) will force Jerry's hand. Linehan will be the first fall guy. I wouldn't be surprised if Marinelli got caught up in the shuffle. He won't fire Garrett though until the season ends. Jerry's a proud man that hates admitting he's wrong but he was wrong with handing the HC position to someone that has clearly been in over his head for years. Linehan is gonzo though if we don't beat the Lions.

Apparently, when they circled the wagons this off season...the Indians made away with all the horses.

3rd Down (in)Efficiency: (updated before SNF)

30. BUF: 11/42 = 26.1
31. DAL: 8/34 = 23.5
32. ARI: 7/30 = 23.3

Yeah that says it right there. I bet we're at the absolute bottom when it comes to gaining a 1st down in our first 2 attempts also. We are always needing 3 downs and as your stats show it takes us 4 possessions to get a 1st down. No defense can hold that up. Sprinkle in our horrid ST' s and field position and where do we win anything?

I can’t see anything less than 1-6 at the break - I think we play 7 before our bye?

That could get any least linehan canned

Not happening. They won’t fire Linehan until the end of the season and even then it’s questionable seeing as to how Travis Fredrick being out have them the excuse they needed.

"mom and pop", I like that but you may be disrespecting mom and pops around the world by putting the cowboys in that class.

As much as I despise Dez, he was 100 percent correct about Linehan. Please enjoy the refresher. Dez is speaking from the heart and his heart is true below.

& the one that says it all....
