“Richards looks like a nice backup Swing Tackle.”

Huh?? He looks like bonafide starter material.
So why didnt he see the field with all the Issues on the O-Line this season? Guy played 39 Snaps all season.

Heck we started Edoga in multiple games and one even on LT over him

They went with the vet at tackle. They aren't going to go with a rookie there though with how Edoga played I'm not sure how much worse he could've been.

The team wants better feet than Torrence has. Even if the team takes an OL in round 2, it never would have been Torrence. It was Bergeron (Syracuse) who they liked.
A Bergeron and Charbonnet 1st and 2nd rounder would have made me feel a whole lot better than what we got but hey maybe 2 or 3 years down the road it will be different. I doubt it but we'll see. the success of bass and potential of richards and hoffman does take some of the sting of recent draft off. but i guess we can only hope Mazi and Schoon pan out but Schoon is never going to be anything but Fergys robin

Yes but this guys point was that Richards is bonafide starter material. If he would he would have played much more with the O-Line almost never playing 5 Starters.

It was clear they didn't like him. I said it at the time Torrence is a favorite because he was a guard who mock drafts said he should be drafted around that time.
Haha, precisely. If that Torrence had been rated in mock drafts as a 4th round pick, not a soul would be saying Dallas needed him in the second round. In fact, in that case, if Dallas picked him in the second, the same people would be going on about what a terrible pick it was, just like they did Frederick.

He has bad feet. He is a gap scheme blocker and doesn’t belong in a zone blocking scheme.

I'm not ready to call it a bad draft, but the short results are not promising.

We have all been pounding on the table for them to address DT. They finally did and people have zero patience for it. He still has time to develop.
TE is what I hate. Ferg is a beast and Hendershot flashes here and there. That pick could have been used on anything else.
Overshown is TBD.

The rest is whatever. Usually after the 3rd round drafts get really hit or miss anyway.

We did, however, kill it in UDFA though. We found some gems.

Even if that was the case, Rowdy, it would be completely irrelevant to the topic.

What a garbage draft class.
What is relevant is the entire 1st year player class on one of the best teams in the league. Take your garbage comment and stick it up there with Wentz your clownmanship.

I trust you over these guys because at least it seems like you know the player. I've heard no one even say why Torrence should've been the pick.

That's what's most annoying around these parts around the draft....guys develop "pet cats" not on film but based on mock drafts.

People trust mock drafts over NFL teams who spent millions on scouting departments. It just doesn't make any sense lol.

I thought he was saying more so as the future. He looks like a bonafide starter for the future. No way in hell he was ready to start this year. Or at least hasn't showed that.

I agree but typically those guys don’t start right away because they don’t have to.

This doesn’t look like the 2009 draft straight up were drafting backups and special team players. They had no first round picks….Mazi alone kills that theory. Everyone was excited about Mazi…I’m confused to how and why he’s now regulated to a “special teams” or backup now?
Have you seen Jalen Carter snaps? Not much different than Mazi Smith. Perhaps your expectations of Smith and your method of evaluating Smith are incorrect.

I posted this in a different thread. There is the full draft. There are a few guys I would have preferred over Dallas' picks. The WR class was good. CJ Stroud is a stud. Outside of that, its a pretty terrible draft class league wide.

This isn't a defense of Dallas. The Schoonmaker draft pick was head scratching at the time and it ended up worse than that. Should have went RB there and there were a LOT of people here calling for it at the time. We would feel much differently about the class with Achane or Spears on the roster instead of Deuce and Schoonmaker.
