I know some of you are actually surprised at what is unfolding in front of our very eyes. I'm not surprised at all. Despite being called everything in the book of negative references, I stand here today strong and firm. I always find it funny how the unpopular opinion often becomes reality. Our 2009 team is a comedy of erroneous proportions. While some would like to believe we're attempting to get better as the years go by, thanks to the current decisions makers, we're regressing with every passing minute. Let me provide just a few examples.
  • Locking up an unproven quarterback up with a pace setting contract for multiple years...
  • Trading away the future for a mediocre chain moving WR...
  • Believing that Sensabaugh would solve all of our problems in the middle instead of looking to the draft...
  • Believing that Spencer could fill the void left by Ellis...
  • Thinking that donning the helmet with the beloved star on it automatically makes you talented...
  • Keeping a classic loser for yet another year because he promises to change...
  • Trying to be the owner and GM... I can't name many owners with their own radio show... Attention *****...
  • Re-signing Flozell Adams...
  • Believing we could actually find success without anyone at the WR position to make defenses play honest...
  • Believing that all of the team's problems were no longer on the team...
  • Publicly stating that the intention was to make the team more "Romo Friendly"... So lame...
  • Continuing to live in denial of reality...
  • Thinking T-New hadn't really lost a step... He has...
  • Expecting a dysfunctional coaching staff to function...

This team will continue to win some and lose some. They'll break hearts consistently along the way with their helter skelter play. This is a team that lacks preparation, focus, accountability, and most importantly... smarts. They're just not very good. Do we still have an overwhelming majority that disagree with me or are more of you now seeing the light amidst the roses? When will the tide really change? I enjoy a good laugh but this is truly ridiculous.

Remind me what we gave up to get RW11... Honestly. Look me in the cyber eyes and tell me you're not just a tad perturbed at that trade.

Listen, I find myself in agreement with many of the points you make, but those points are by no means your personal possession. There are MANY people on this board who take contrary positions to the majority. IN FACT, sometimes we are all in the majority and sometimes we are in the minority depending upon which position we are arguing.

What I don't understand is why we want to beat our chest over it? I also don't understand why we don't WANT to be proven wrong if it turns out to be better for our team?

I was on record early as having doubts about Romo. Alot of those doubts have proven to be false. He's a better player than I gave him credit for. He still struggles at times, but I'm wanting him to succeed because if he succeeds our TEAM SUCCEEDS.

I would be perfectly happy for Tony Romo to win multiple Super Bowls, go to the hall of fame and have Theogt heckle me for the rest of my life. ;) ;)

I can't stand Wade Phillips as a coach. I think he is an absolute joke. But you know what, if he turned it around this year and we win big, I am absolutely happy.

So, I say, where you have been right, congratulations! I also say, for all of our sakes, I hope you are wrong, even where I agree with you.

I've been lambasted many times for my unpopular opinion. So I have never had a problem lambasting back.

Meanwhile Braylon could be had for a 3rd and 5th.

Genius!!

There was no enjoyment in having to take that walk of shame from the favorite watering hole after we faded like jellyfish in the last minutes of that Bronco game... None whatsoever...

We're 2-2 and have lost to teams that are undefeated.

Not sure why some are already waving the White Flag.

Also, Tony Romo deserved the money he got. He was playing at a very high level and if the Cowboys didn't sign him, the media and the fans would have crucified Jerry Jones.

You would think we are 0-4.

The bust out rate for first round WR's is very high. The safe bet is to trade a couple of lower picks like we did to secure a proven WR. The additional cost of those two picks to prevent drafting a bust is really minimal IMO.

Honestly I was disappointed in Williams last year but he was clearly more injured (as we found out in the off season) than being reported. Now healthy (until the recent rib issue) his level of play has obviously increased this season. Unfortunately Romo hasn't been consistent in getting him the ball which feeds the whole "Roy Williams sucks" crowd.

At this point I am more perturbed at Romo than Williams. The good news is we have only played 4 games and we are not elimated from the playoff race yet. So all things considered, it could be a whole worse.

Wrong but who is really counting?

Wrong?

I'd rather have Braylon for a 3rd and 5th than Roy for a 1st and 3rd. I think any sane person would.

Well good thing we play another winless team this weekend. How many do we have left on the schedule?
