The 49ers gave us the blueprint on how to beat the Rams

They did it mainly via defense, plus some good execution on offense. That makes me think the Cowboys have a chance to knock off the Super Bowl champs, not that it will be easy.

The Niners defense is more solid and they have a real running game with blocking schemes that coaches actually put effort into. Still, the cowboys have a puncher's chance if they come up with a few big plays on both sides of the ball.

Control Cooper Kupp and their running game and we should be able to beat them. Cooper is probably the best receiver in the league. He's almost uncoverable one on one. Not sure whether Diggs can shut him down, but if we can do that and control the run then we have a decent shot. Their own line has serious serious problems right now. Stafford is streaky. Some games he's the best QB in the league and other games he is indecisive as hell and looks like Carson Wentz. Should be a great game, just hope Mr. Rush plays his usual steady game and doesn't try do to too much.

The 49ers are the most physical team in football. Period.

It’s how they beat us last season. They just out physical everybody

Pollard isn’t close to Deebo. Lol What makes Deebo special is his strength. He has a thick base and is very difficult to bring down. Pollard doesn’t have near the power that Deebo has. On the 50+ yard TD catch Deebo had last night he was shaking off defenders. He can push a pile like Zeke used to. We don’t have a receiver like that. No team in the league does. Pollard needs space to use his speed. Against Washington he had 8 carries for 6 yards.

Your previous post mentioned “our version” of Deebo.

Pollard is the closet thing to our version that we have on the roster that could even try to mimic a Deebo, as he has burst, vision and open field run skills.

Only Pollard is not a WR,.. but a RB who “ could’ve “ been a very dangerous pass catching back outta backfield and around the line, but
thus is the way Kellen has under developed and under utilized.

Speaking of Deebo, I’ve seen Kellen trying to mimic CeeDee Lamb, as such but Lamb doesn’t have burst, open field run skills, much less size -power.to even be a
Cordell Patterson - a big WR with innate run skills, and used more as a RB than a WR.

Like u said , what other NFL team really has a Deebo handy ?

imo, what makes Deebo special first off, is his great pure run skills.
He has great vision to sense openings and lane, and the burst and elusiveness to pick and glide thru them, his size/strength comes in trying to stretch arm tackle him,
and he's so difficult to corral in the open field, especially once/when he gets that uneven field with momentum to manuever and cut back into lanes .

Is he a RB with WR skills … or a big WR with RB skills ?
And i still also give credit to Shanahan's scheme is knowing how to set his blockers up to get his momentum going.

- Rams shift and move Kupp all around so very well, from outside to inside, vice versa, ..so it would be difficult to shadow him all over the field.
And the guy has beasley like moves that ties the ankles up in opposing CBs, so his one on one moves makes it that make difficult to keep up with him,

- Playing zone coverage would kill us vs Kupp, so i expect nickel packages and whomever covers the slot ala Jordan Lewis or rookie Bland will likely end up with Kupp a good number of the
game, with Diggs likely to cover the right side, while Brown takes on the left side.

- The Biggest key is ... Constantly pocket pushing and harrassing pass rush vs matthew stafford.. he will force some INTs and turn the ball over to us if we play him right.

- But we just cannot keep giving these teams life and hope ..by letting them run the ball successfully upon us, rather than stopping them and make a Stafford one-dimensional pass happy.

Zeke is closer to Deebo than Pollard because he has power and speed. Deebo isn’t going to carry the ball 8 times for only 6 yards like Pollard. All Pollard possesses is speed and burst. Like I mentioned what makes Deebo special is his strength. Trying to tackle him is like trying to tackle Marshawn Lynch back in the day. Pollard isn’t even remotely close to Deebo, he’s far too easy to bring down. You don’t see him stiff arming defenders and shaking them off down the field. Deebo practically carried Bobby Wagner into the end zone the other night.

rams are much worse this year. they do not have the same players.

staffords injury is clearly hampering him, and the line is attrocious. that's a solid recipe for our defense to give him problems. (hopefully)

You can’t stop Kupp, but you limit him and the Rams have nothing else on offense……zip.

Sorry, but we don't have any Deebo Samuels on our team.

Yeah I was watching the game thinking the same thing. I don't know if the Rams will be able to control Micah, DLaw, Fowler, etc if they had trouble with the 49ers. No disrespect to the 49ers defense but I think ours is as good or better. Also put in playmaker Wilson and Diggs. I feel good about our chances. As long as Rush doesn't turn it over on offense I feel we beat them down with defense and win a close game IMO.
If we don't contain AD it will be a long day for Coop.

Agree. I'm hoping Peters plays more to slow him down or KM schemes away from him. I'm more scared of Donald than I am Kupp and Stafford.

Dez could have been the 1st Deebo.

As a returner he was both electric and physical in open field.

I'm curious if Cowboys D can keep Rams under 10 points.

The blueprint the 49ers had going would've beaten almost any team last night.... especially with the rowdy home crowd.
That defense is for real and Debo was beastin'

Blueprint?? The 49ers basically beat the living hell out of them.. Matthew Stafford was hit 17-times and was sacked 7-times. The 49ers simply over-powered the Rams and beat them into submission.. It's no surprise though, the 49ers have owned the Rams for years.
They are a very physical team , we need to play hard . If we are going finesse way and our DL is not physical , Rams will be eek out a victory , because their D is good also . Our main thing in this game should be dont turn it over and run game keep at it , no quick 3 and outs.
