Let's be fair, he was twice traded to a team that subsequently got to the SB....he was traded up to a contender.
He is a Frickin' Lucky Charm Talisman

2 for 52 and a tud in 14 seconds... yeah... it's pretty freaking good.He was impressive for those 14 seconds, hey?
But no deed money . . . They may keep him or they may not depending on other Contractsin 2019 he has not had a concussion since. Not sure it is a 1 year rental since he has 2 remaining years on his deal before he becomes a FA.
the QB aint changing so at least getting some WRs in here who can get some separation may help our accracy challenged QB. We can win with him despite what many think. The QB is the problem
Ceedee, Gallup, and Cooks is a fine trio of receivers
He has never been Dumped . . . He has been actively pursued by Super Bowl Contenders . . . And up until this point He has secured a Bounty in returnWhy? What is your conclusion as to why he keeps being dumped? Hair out of place?
Lamb is your game wrecker. Look at the year he just had when the 2nd best receiver was an inconsistent TE. McCarthy should be able to create a lot of mismatches with Cooks and Lamb on the field. I think Lamb will be even better this year. When Brandin Cooks joins the Dallas Cowboys, he will join his 5th team in his 9-year career.
Saints, Pats, Rams, Texans, and now the Cowboys. A lot of folks on here are caught up by a name they recognize and a player some wanted during the season, last year. And I'll be the first to admit that Brandin Cooks is a NICE player, he isn't what this team needs.
This team needs an offensive weapon. A "game wrecker" of sorts. Not another nice WR that will fight for number 2 touches in our offense.
It points to the obvious blind spot in the front office that most of here can see but some are blinded too as well.
IMO settling for anything short of DHop or OBJ is just that. Settling.
Because somebody didn’t get the name that they wanted and now want to pitch a fit.I am not sure why people keep acting like OBJ is this upper tier, elite WR still. Or that we should question Cooks on his 5th team in 9 years but somehow OBJ bouncing around like a fool isn't equally perplexing/questionable.
He had that in 2021. Made 0 differencethe QB aint changing so at least getting some WRs in here who can get some separation may help our accracy challenged QB. We can win with him despite what many think.
At my last count, there were 7 teams openly interested in him... That's 20% of the league.wow. really? let me get back lest i am crushed by the mass of people rushing by me to sign him to their team.
you cannot have a conversation with any Romo related with him he is too far obsessed with the dude. You are correct BTWI’m just telling you what McCarthy wants to do. They want to control clock and protect their quarterback and defense like they did with Romo. Romo went on to have the best season of his career.
This is Mark Holmes level of EmbarassingBecause somebody didn’t get the name that they wanted and now want to pitch a fit.
It’s embarrassing.
Ya, but you missed the point. You're basing your take on 2 catches in the 1st qtr. Small sample sized always lead to erroneous conclusions.2 for 52 and a tud in 14 seconds... yeah... it's pretty freaking good.
Don’t blame ‘the fanbase’, blame this particular poster throwing a tantrum because the team didn’t acquire the name he’d hoped for. It’s nothing more than that.Fanbase is never happy. People are screaming for a speedy receiver, get one and it's not enough. Look at what Cooks was traded for outside of the Cowboys trade, 1st and 2nd rd picks, he is a very valuable receiver.
You may be right, but I’d wager we’ll get more out of Cooks than we would have got out of those other two, and for a lot less money.Cooks isn't all that. Neither is D-Hop or OBJ. All of them are 30+ years old with lots of wear-n-tear and who cost lots of money.
LOL... I always wonder how guys can post 30,000+ times and only have 7,000 likes. You helped clear that up for me... Thanks!yea, you are.
and the lengths you will go to here is at best, comical. at worst, well, pretty sure saying it would break at least 2 rules in here.
No but year 2 at 16 mill is still not high for a WR, not when you see guys like Cooper making 23 mill a season with 2 years remaining. We get Cooker for 12 this season and if they choose to play out the deal 16.5 in 2024. I think people lose track for the cost on these deals where top WR is getting 30 mill. But no deed money . . . They may keep him or they may not depending on other Contracts
I don't believe the Concussions are a problem based on my post
and yet, none of them have pulled the trigger. At my last count, there were 7 teams openly interested in him... That's 20% of the league.
(Cowboys, Chiefs, Ravens, Giants, Bills, Rams, Packers. 8 if you count the Jets and being on Rogers list)
