Man stop this

That offense goes through Josh Allen and without him that team is picking top 5
Wait a minute I read here QB don’t carry teams and JA is just a jag choker. It’s the center that’s doing that no wonder the Cowboys have trouble who would have guessed that a center was the most important player of a team.

Yeah, they're cycling through OL (Connor, Conner, Biadasz) maybe they'll learn how to sign these new guys and keep them around when they mature instead of other teams getting all the benefits.
No. I've been told by many posters here that you build a Super Bowl caliber roster by trading all your great players after their first 3 years in the league.

I don't think they made a big mistake letting him go. They can't sign everybody. McGovern played LG here and frankly, the guy we replaced him with is a better player.

But this does bring up the issue again with building through the draft only. Guy you draft you lose to free agency forcing you to fill the same holes over and over. You can never complete the building this way.

The Bills really wanted him. He got signed quickly in the initial free agent window in 2023. He was starting to play well here, but unfortunately injuries screwed up his chances to stick.

Josh Allen bails out that OL often where Dak can't anymore. Dak is a statue now.

Coaches didn't like him. This is old stuff, even his dad said some stuff about his time here in Dallas.
That's right. Instead of the doghouse being something the player can play his way out of it's a permanent indictment. There should be no place for those kind of things.

Yep I remember vividly. I even wanted him back for a certain price but looking what they have now it was the right decision.
Don’t worry Stephen all but said we gonna do the same thing with Osa and Gholston. Solid players that you build your trenches around instead we will depend on another injured player (Sam Williams) and dumpster dive for another defensive tackle then blame Mazi and Micah for our failure. Rinse and repeat.

I think Osa and Gholston are making themselves some bank.

That's not something exclusive to just the Cowboys. Other teams let players go every year and they go on to be productive players with other teams.

I get the Jerry hate. There are plenty of reasons. But this isn't one of them. Not when it happens league wide.
Beat me to it. Everyone here was fine with McGovern going.

He's thriving. Happy for him!

But it's not like we could have traded him for picks. Rather than re-sign an underwhelming player, we rightfully cut bait and got a 5th back as a comp pick

Jerry Jones lets our young talent go and never replaces them with the poor comp picks given by the NFL. Some turn out to be solid starters. Look at the Bills' center, Connor McGovern, a 2019 Dallas Cowboy draft pick. He has a good chance of going to the Super Bowl. Offensive linemen sometimes need several years of grooming to become starters.
It starts at the top with a knowledgeable GM, either you have good one or you don't. Then it's on to the HC and his coaching staff who can bring the best out of an athlete! Buffalo has been a lot more competitive than the Cowboys have over the past few years and it starts with a smart GM, HC and QB. Now look at the Cowboy's top three, now who would you take??????

Not entirely true. The eagles would never say "we loved him but didnt have the money for a 2nd deal for a middling/developing player because we paid our QB". That is the Jones go to... and why they never win because it is an outright lie

And you know this how?
Because they sign free agents every year, keep and pay their stars and attract value replacements. They have been to 2 SB in years and won 1.

Its called having a real GM and ownership structure. I know all of this because I can read and see results

They also know how to identify weakness and build a team. Hurts will never be Tom Brady, or even Jordan Love. Ergo, lets get a top flight RB and solid Oline.

Then some teams say "We have the best QB who only chokes in Playoffs, top RB FA too expensive, so we'll get Zeke who is just as good on a bounce back year". LOL

Strange but it looks more to me that the Bills powerhouse offense is centered around Josh Allen who is playing out of his mind right now, and is a good bet to be MVP. Their defense is trash but the offense is scary good and Allen is the biggest reason why.
Josh Allen himself..a great OC in Joe Brady and a complimentary RB in James Cook.
And a solid enuff OL.

Coaching staff failed him. Many players are caught up in politics here in Dallas. I believe JJ had something to do with it.

By JAG do you mean below average? or average?

PFF (yes, I know, I am not always in agreement with their opinion either) has him rated 16th out of 60 this year. (Not sure why there wouldn't be 64 or more with enough snaps. Just reporting what the search returns)

I have watched them several times last year & this year and he's above average IMO. Someone we could have kept & spent a draft resource elsewhere.
