Has anyone figured what that gesture CD often does after a catch is?

It looks like a mouth wipe to me, kind of like a sloppy old western cowboy might wipe his mouth after drinking his whiskey sloppy or a slob might wipe his mouth while eating (like a variation of Elliot's feed me).

The reason I ask is because I am watching the Michigan Wolverine game and a player did the same thing after a sack and got a 15 yard flag . The announcer, rightly, said the ref mistakenly felt that was a throat slashing gesture but it clearly wasn't. But what the heck is it?
All that nonsense is dumb to me. I am not old. Only 51. Hand the ball back and act like you expect it to happen over and over.

I think he'll look back on these days when he's 50 or 60 and say, "What was I thinking? Man, I shoulda just tossed the ball to the ref and got back to the huddle."
Mostly old “Get off my lawn!!!!” folks have an issue with it.

Whatever it is, something is dripping. Maybe he's got that drip.

I hate the move.

I enjoy seeing Lawrence's move. It always reminds me of the movie "The Gladiator".

I don't hate it completely, I just find it a bit weird. At least it's better than Zeke's "feed me" gesture.

I'd be much more accepting of either, if they saved it for really impressive plays.
It’s simple, it just means in your face

It's not my favorite celebration, which, ultimately means nothing to anybody including Lamb. I can say though that I have seen much better throughout my years of watching football.

Plus, as somebody else said, save it for the big plays. You catch a 60 yard bomb and take it into the endzone, you can do whatever you want, but a 6 yard catch doesn't warrant some kind of celebration. lol

And yes, I'm getting older and grumpier. ;)

To be fair I think most every person to have ever been born has had the same thought. ;)
