Yall wondered why I was screaming bloody murder when we picked Felix. Keep your agendas up fellas. So just remember the arguements. From that draft after the draft and their rookies season. He who laughs last laughs the best. Felix was a waste of a pick. CJ is amazing and Mendenhall is doing wonders in pitt. Oh well what could of been. I would get into receiving stats but my point is already made. So you felix backers have nothing to hold your hat on anymore.

oh good god.

WAH - MY PET DIDN'T GET PICKED AND HE HAD A GOOD NIGHT!
WAH!

i would get into all the WRONG picks you've made in time, but there is no point to really make.

WAH.

Mendenhall...feh, I don't care about the yardage totals, they are just a byproduct of more carries. Chris Johnson though... another story. Look, lets be honest, he wasn't on anyone's radar with our picks. Everyone thought Tennessee was crazy for picking him, but he is a beast, an absolute beast. He does it all, can score from anywhere on the field and has stayed healthy.

I love Felix but CJ is a star.

What about Johnny Unitas. He was a street free agent in '56. Dallas should have gotten him...:D

I wanted Chad Greenway instead of Carpenter but that did not happen, I'm not going to sit around slamming the Cowboys or patting myself on the back because Greenway has turned out to be the better player. As for Felix he is an explosive player who has had some early misfortune but I don't hold that against him and still feel he will have a very good career in Dallas

I still would not trade Felix for those two even though I would have loved to have them and I still would not trade our potential running game for their running games as well. Bottom line, if our backs stay healthy, we have the potential to have the best running game in the league.

For some folks, that is all they have. Self congratulations. They tend to be lonely people. Shame to waste the Internet bandwidth and space on the server in my opinion.

You basically disprove your point here. Consider that Neither Mendenhall or Johnson is splitting time with TWO, (the number after ONE) other backs. Then look at what each does with the opportunities given him. Felix has more YPC than any other. So in reality Felix is the best back. Ridiculous.

Chris Johnson in hindsight would have been a better pick but I'd still rather have Felix than Mendenhall.

Pitt 922 yards 4.3 average wins 6 losses 2
Dall 1101 yards 5.1 average wins 6 losses 2
Ten 1288 yards 5.4 average wins 2 losses 6

do you have a valid point?

I don't see anything wrong with the OP revisiting this subject.

When Felix was doing well and Mendenhall was struggling, the guys who originally liked the Felix pick were roaring.

I wanted Mendenhall because he was rated higher on most draft boards (apparently including Dallas').

But I understand why they took Felix. He adds a different dimension ... can do some different things ... is faster, etc.

Let's be fair about this. Mendenhall is playing well right now and is showing the ability to be an every-down back.

I don't know about Chris Johnson, but hasn't Mendenhall already spent some time in Mike Tomlin's dog house?I think Dallas not needing another potential drama queen on this team had more to do with him not being here than anything.I know Garrett was seen lobbying for Felix, but I think it boiled down to the team knowing more about Felix and his character due to his Arkansas ties.

wow, gratz on making the ignore list.

it's a tough job and only a few really dense folks can do it but the OP gets kudos for succeeding.

CJ is a heck of a back and we'd have been estatic if we drafted him... mendenhall is a poor, poor man's barber who hasn't done anything to warrant being bemoaned.

Felix has had a rough stretch coming back form injury but everyone understands the weapon he presents.

You know it's sad, I've never put anyone on ignore nor do I know how to do it but I might just have to figure it out. Every post I see of DaBoys seems aimed at one goal; to whine, complain, ***** or start ****. (excuse the french) :(

Sometimes a draft pick can work out for multiple teams. I'm happy with our rotation right now. I love what Felix brings.

Considering we already have 2 running backs who are the same type of runner as Mendenhall I think Felix remains a better pick. When he's healthy he adds a different dimension to our offense.

Mendenhalls, Tashard Choices, etc. are a lot easier to come by than people want to admit. Guys with the ability to take it the distance every touch are a whole different story.
