Agreed. This isn't even close.

WRs are a dime a dozen because there are so many of them consistently on the field. You have a chance on one or two guys at RB to be great. I really believe we got lucky and have 3 great backs on our team with Barber the least of the three IMO. So if you say Barber, I would be ok with the trade, but definately not Felix. Too much upside. Find another way other than trading away two great backs in Choice and Felix.

There are more WRs on rosters and the field than RBs, also TEs catch the ball as well as RBs out of the backfield. A good RB can punch in a TD easier than a good WR is tight spots. To me, its easy to say that RB is more valuable than a good WR. If you were to group all the WRs as good or bad, then may be a different story, but as individuals, no.

You've got it backwards. If you look at individual situations, it may not hold true. But if you look at football as a whole, it's certainly true. The evidence is there. It's overwhelming.

Also, as for defense, it's the opposite side of the same coin. Stopping an effective pass attack is much more important than stopping an effective running game. I think it might be too hard to conclude whether having a more effective pass defense is more important than having a more effective pass offense, so I certainly don't make any claims there.

Fair enough for me.

The Arizona Cardinals have made it clear they will entertain trade offers for WR Anquan Boldin, who is looking to leave because he knows there is no way he can get the mega-deal Larry Fitzgerald signed in Arizona.

So here’s what should happen. The Cardinals, who are ready to part ways with aging tailback Edgerrin James, should send Boldin to Dallas for running back Felix Jones. The Cards would get a huge upgrade at RB while the Cowboys would give Tony Romo and wideout Roy Williams a needed boost in the passing game.

And if Arizona coach Ken Whisenhunt would like a cherry on top of the deal, the Cowobys can throw in wideout Patrick Crayton. The deal makes sense for both teams. Get the bean counters together. If Jerry Jones is as smart as he would have us believe, then he needs to pull the trigger and make this thing happen.

mind you I would love to have quan but not at that cost.

Cedric is smoking something... The only RB that we would consider is MB3.

Uh-huh. Why would Arizona give up a Pro Bowl caliber wr for a backup rb & wr?
Because the probowl WR doesn't want to play there and doesn't trust the front office.

A player like Jones is exactly what the Cards need. How dynamic would their offense be with Felix Jones?

They already proved that they can will games without Boldin, and their running game could use a major overhaul.

Actually what they need is a player like Choice more than Jones. They already have a player like Jones, although he's a WR instead of a RB. His name is Steve Breaston.

Oh hell I would do that trade in a NY Minute! An injury prone running back, at possibly the deepest position on our team, for a straight up stud at WR, a position we're in high question over at the moment.

It's not like Felix is our starter. We don't even know if it will ever be possible for him to sustain an entire 16 game season. Then let's not forget the last running back we had to make a splash in his rookie season with limited playtime. Where is Julius Jones nowadays? A few good games in the beginning does not always equate to a career in this league.

Then let's move on to the instability that reins at our WR position. If it doesn't come out almost literally on fire, we could lose our most valuable commodity. Jason Witten's effectiveness could evaporate if suddenly teams start treating him like a #1 threat. Sure, sure, sure, Tony was concentrating on getting the ball to TO all the time, he forgot Roy out there, leaving him all 'awone'. Awww. Bull****, he sucks and demanded nothing. NOT the mental makeup of a #1 WR. We just CAN'T lay it all on Jason's shoulders. And I'm seriously afraid that is exactly what's going to happen. Roy is just a "basket" i have no good feelings about putting all my "eggs" in.

We need Boldin.
