The fact you think this is funny and poty speaks volumes.

Did they ask Barkley or Henry to "play center" and entire o-line? No.

Would they have said yes if even asked? No.

No...the team and their fans have SOME decency and respect.
Zeke was washed up years ago and our GM brought him back when everyone knew he had nothing left. Zeke took up a roster spot that could have been used to develop a RB but instead our GM got him back because he likes him.

Elite organizations (we were one thru ‘95) have GMs that are cold hearted SOBs because their job is to constantly improve the roster. I wanna win in the playoffs, consecutive playoff games in the same season so I love the Cowboys as much as you do but I also have a sense of humor and Zeke getting trucked at center was comedy of the highest order. As a Dallas fan, you need a sense of humor!

Bro, don't you know, we just didn't use him right, he needs like 14 carries to get into the rhythm of the game and you know where out the defenses....thats why he always shined throughout college and the pros without a wildly superior offensive line blasting giant holes open.

The biggest mistake of the Cowboys usage of Zeke was having the line block differently when other players were in the backfield.
No wonder he was a great team player and not selfish.
It was obvious that cement shoed Zeke would never be able to get in rhythm. He couldn't run anymore and he just ran into his own players all the time when there WERE holes. 1.5 yards and a cloud of dust Zeke. He's been terrible and declining for 5 straight years. Total waste of a roster spot. Was a complete nostalgia/loyalty signing that wasted time and prevented Rico from getting more carries. Progress stopper 101.

Someone’s lookin’ to sign him for the playoffs is my guess. Why? Who the hell knows, perhaps for his pass blocking ability.

Why do fans need to lie?
Dude, do you actually think I meant that literally?

Fine, his 3.1 YPC. Teams will be DESPERATE to add that juice to their offense.

I love Zeke for everything he gave to this team in his prime, but the current version of him is not qualified to run the ball in the NFL anymore. He was pretty atrocious this season.

This was done specifically to give Zeke a chance to play in the playoffs.

I'm surprised how many here don't get this. Some of these comments are comical.

In the end, though, we can all agree, it was a final to add him instead of some other choice FAs.
It's comical to think that a playoff team would waste a valuable roster spot on one of the worst RBs in the game right now. Then there are his behavioral issues. Sleeping in and skipping team meetings where even the accountability averse Cowboys suspend you for one game. Serious franchises don't operate that way.
