RELEASED The Cowboys have released Ezekiel Elliott

Elliott asked to be released and the Cowboys granted his wish. This guy was a drain on this team from day one and Jerry caved to him every time. Good Bye and good luck.
Remember first 2 years waiting to get suspended than getting suspended than holding out in Cabo I would of ran him into the ground and than traded his *** that next year.
We bring him back this year and he misses meetings comes late and than asks for his release with one game left.

He was a football player and he was a Cowboy. To this fan team means something. Thanks for trying and taking it, Sir.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones on the team’s release of Ezekiel Elliott:

“Out of respect and appreciation for Zeke and wanting to provide him with an opportunity to pursue any potential playoff participation possible, we are releasing him from the Cowboys roster today. As I have said many times previously, Zeke’s impact as one of the greatest to ever play with the Star on their helmet will never change and is etched in our record books and history forever. We thank him, love him and wish him the absolute best.”

Why can't they do that for Dak?

Cue the Celine Dion music; old man has gone soft.

He should be halfway through a Hall of Fame career. He was unstoppable at Ohio State and looked like the second coming of Emmitt Smith his first three years.
It was very disappointing to see his elite talent fade.
He was never the same after forcing himself to play while injured in 2020 I believe. Coaches should have had the sense to sit him, but here we are.
