Y’all should honor me for bringing the truth about Zeke and Jaylon Smith waaay ahead of the game.
It does seem odd, but I presume he either asked for his release or said the wrong thing to the wrong person.seems silly to do it now
And so does signing him. I knew that moment that this season would suck, because Jerry was putting his personal desires ahead of what the coaches wanted.Zeke represents everything wrong with the Cowboys. Lazy, complacent, spoiled and entitled. Derrick Henry was in the same draft class and he has the work ethic to still remain elite. Zeke even before the draft was known to be a guy with questionable work ethic and intangibles.
Yep.....in full defense of Zeke.......remember Jerry must have suggested, pounded the desk, declared he was the boss, and signed off on this, or all of the aforementioned, from the beginning. Again, Zeke was not the problem, more a result of the problem. Thanks, Zeke, for the early good years. We will be finding a new Fall Guy for 2025.is this their way of admitting they were wrong? Or are they going to spin it as letting a beloved Cowboy seek a playoff run elsewhere
I don’t see it but I’d love for it to happen.Green Bay.
Well he doesr show up to practice anyway based on what’s reported lol. He's got some New Years Eve parties to attend and doesn't want to show up to Practice...
I seriously doubt that. The season he had is going to make it very difficult for him to latch on with another team next year. He may have no choice but to retire.Surely Zeke is thrilled, easiest money he ever made...
MountaineerCowboy.....can it rain without blaming Dak?Well, didn't see that coming.
Dak must not have been in the building today to fight for his BFF.
Boy how he was loved on this board the first 3 years.I would have kept him and not let him sign with a playoff team. He don't deserve it.
Again, how the early career is so easily forgotten......only the sacred leave and remain beloved on this board.Elliott asked to be released and the Cowboys granted his wish. This guy was a drain on this team from day one and Jerry caved to him every time. Good Bye and good luck.
Remember first 2 years waiting to get suspended than getting suspended than holding out in Cabo I would of ran him into the ground and than traded his *** that next year.
We bring him back this year and he misses meetings comes late and than asks for his release with one game left.
There would be no meltdowns because even if Elliott were to land on a SB team, his contribution would be minimal.Me too. The meltdowns would be hilarious. Well, they already are.
The Cowboys have released Ezekiel Elliott
Agree. Zeke is one of my favorite Cowboys but he was long past providing any upside to this team. Not his fault because I’m sure he was happy to be on a roster. He’s just another name on the list at this point of circumstances from the root issueYep.....in full defense of Zeke.......remember Jerry must have suggested, pounded the desk, declared he was the boss, and signed off on this, or all of the aforementioned, from the beginning. Again, Zeke was not the problem, more a result of the problem. Thanks, Zeke, for the early good years. We will be finding a new Fall Guy for 2025.
