Best part? As our season eventually derails, likely in part to a crappy run D, they do pretty much nothing about DT next offseason too other than some cheap signings and maybe a late pick or two.

They have believed they can cheap their way into an all-pro at the position for years now. Sure, maybe one day they luck out and it works, but that's a lot of wasted seasons.

It says a lot that they are showing interest in an aging WR but not an aging DT that might have some gas left in the tank. DT isn't flashy enough for the Jones boys.

Whether Suh ends up being great for the Eagles or not isn't the point - Jerry and his bozo son's mindset about that position is the problem. This shouldn't be difficult to understand, but apparently, members here still fall for this dopey families tricks.
Except we traded for a DT, so that's not the "mindset". Maybe it is just 'we like our guys better than the ones on the street'...

I mean the problem in the run game is LBs not hitting the gaps properly. The DLine is generally playing good but if your LBs can make the tackle you aren’t going to be a good run defense.

the thing that’s hard to understand is that the Eagles are ranked 18th against the run and after the Commanders loss, they address it immediately with FA signings. The Cowboys ranked at 28 against the run get Hankins and the FO feels like it was enough. Clearly it hasn’t been enough and it will be another season of opportunities wasted

The division leading Eagles who smoked us last time around?

They didn't smoke up, Carl. Or is it, Douglas? :D

You could say they smoked us in the 2nd quarter because our offense gave them 3 INT's that led to those scores. We fought back and made a game of it until the defense give up that only score in the 2nd half.

Spoiler: he likes his guys.

The way i read this is:

Suh never had interesst in joining Dallas. Thats why there was never contact. Not because our FO did not make contact.

Of course JJ has to llike his guys when nobody else wants to join.

I mean how many other teams had interest in him is the question?. Because some fans wanted him and he signed with a rival doesn't mean he was wanted and is still really good.

At least Jerry didn't say, "If he's so good, why was he available?"

With that said, I'd say that he odds aren't long that a guy that has been sitting around for months comes in and immediately has a muscle pull or some other ailment that derails him for the bulk of the games. On the spectrum between FRESH and OUT OF SHAPE, it seems like the street guys fall primarily on the right side.

...we knew it was a problem going into the season. We then traded for a guy who was losing out to rookie scrubs on the Raiders.
