It's the beginning of the season I understand the eternal optimism, and your team could have a very good year. But to ignore what has been your MO for the last few years, because this is your year, is silly.
I predict that by week 8, all 4 teams will have atleast 5 wins, probably 6, and the losses coming from the other NFC E teams.
The media will have the following reactions:
Giants: They have really come together, they know what it means to be a team.
Philly: They have dedicated this to Jim Johnson, they are playing with intensity..
Cowboys: They look good haven't missed a beat without TO, but can they keep it up in Dec/Jan??
Commanders: The team is in the same spot as last year, wait for the 2nd half collapse.
So by week 8 it will still be close, then comes the fun.
Oh, and TonyRomo#9, you can pass the pipe next, cuz there is no way you are putting 30 points on the Skins D.

SkinsFan28;2878713 said:I just wanted to re-emphasize that I agree with you on this, for all the NFCE teams. I think all 4 could and should have 5 wins by the 7th game, maybe 8th. and all should have no less than 7-8 wins heading into Dec.
I also think Dallas' season comes down to how well JG utilizes the weapons he has. Your rushing attack SHOULD be one of the top 5, and while I wish injuries on no team, I would be so undisappointed if Felix has lingering toe problems! He is one of those unique game breakers.
I think people will be surprised by the Commanders O-line (including many Skins fans). Before anyone rants, hear me out. Our 1st string Oline played for the first 8 games and we went 6-2, granted we didn't demolish anyone, and I would not say they are great, just adequate. Once we effectively lost Samuels, we started replacing various starters, at one point having a backup center try to block Tuck. God that was a scary moment. Well we did minor upgrades to the starters, replacing an aging Kendall with youth in Dockery. Not necessarily better, but younger and works great with Samuels. BUT, and this is where I think the difference is, we released our aging or underperforming backups (4 of 5 useless backups are gone) and brought in young talent and a proven starter - Jeremy Bridges. I am not claiming they are HOF bound, but simply that the OLine will be more cohesive even if we lose Samuels. Not to mention, and I think every NFC E team says this, we don't go against Baltimore and Pittsburgh in the regular season!
I think this season like last will be a nail-biter, and all 4 teams are going to be battling, and the stretch runs will determine which teams are 9-7 and which are 11-5 or 12-4. There will only be 2 maybe 3 games separating the Division champ and last place.
I am going to the Skins Baltimore Preseason game, and I am syked that football is upon us!
ok, thanks for the clarification.Mansta54;2878737 said:Hey Alice, you're still in Wonderland!!I live here and follow your team and OL closely and they're in BIG TROUBLE. Christina Samuels is old and has knee troubles every year. He virtually plays on 1 leg after the 5th or 6th game every year and that gets worse as he gets older. He can't block a young speedy DWare anymore. Dock is decent but the Bills flatout released him for a reason. Rabach is average at best and he's dealing with a calf injury already. Plus, Ratliff eats his lunch. He's way too strong and quick for Rabach. Randy Thomas may not play much at all, he can't even practice regularly. I heard Bugle say he's extremely concerned that his injury is really serious. Yall don't even have a RT, Heyer your projected starter, he's a fat doughboy. He's terrible! Your backups suck also. You have a 400lb OT who hasn't played in a few years, he's a complete project. Your 3rd rd pick, Rhinehart, can't even get on the field and Bugle basically called him a bust at the end of the 2008 season. Bridges isn't even average. With all the injuries he still can't crack the lineup. Dude, I don't know what you're talking about. Your OL is a complete mess.....

Can we re-visit this at the end of the season, and if you are right, I will gladly acknowledge it. Hopefully you would do the same.

I am not in Wonderland, I simply said, most people could be surprised by the Skins line. Mainly because most of the media has portrayed it as you have.
I know when I have homer glasses on, and I love wearing them. But, the Oline issue is one where I am just saying that people are so downplaying us due to it, that most will be surprised when its not as damaged as they have been led to believe (Remember Star Trek IV when the Enterprise came around the planet, still damaged, but able to put up a fight)

It's a head scratcher alright, seeing that the original Enterprise starship was destroyed near the end of the third film; and that the crew was seen flying around in a Klingon Bird of Prey starship throughout the majority of the fourth installment.Mansta54;2878884 said:Huh!!!![]()

The golden rule of NFL fans resurfaces yet again:
Some Commanders fans know very little about a great many things.
