The Cowboys Should Thank Their Lucky Stars They Are In The NFC

This is false. It's why I asked you what was lucky about it? A paper tiger isn't beating the AFC rep. It's why the AFC lost 13 super bowls in a row. Putting up paper tigers like the Broncos and Bills.

The Cowboys aren't lucky. The teams that are lucky are the Packers, Bucs, and Rams. They're the lucky teams. Easier path to the SB and they can compete with the AFC rep.

Particularly the Packers and Bucs. Nobody in the NFC North, aside from MAYBE the Vikings can challenge the Packers, and the Vikings always collapse. Then there's the Bucs whose division is an absolute disaster, except for maybe the Panthers. We have the Eagles and Washington who have a chance to be competitive with us.

Wow, you sure must have some sore lips and cranky knees? That's some serious butt-kissing you're doing there to opposing QBs!!! Sheesh!

:facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:

Here's a gift for your new hobby...

Hope it helps.

FYI, for the record, Dak and the Cowboys have already beat Herbert, Wilson and Mac Jones. They came close to beating Mahomes/Chiefs and Carr/Raiders last season. With a much younger and more talented, hungry and aggressive Cowboys team this year, those QBs had best watch out for Dak and the Cowboys!
:starspin:

Particularly in the case of Carr, if not for some absolutely horrendous calls such as the no fumble when it was clearly a fumble, we probably would've won that game. Everyone knew the officiating that game was absolutely putrid and reeked of bias.

Based on 1 game you come up with this? lol Buffalo looked good, Rams looked like crap that equals blowout. We have 30 teams who have yet to play we have 17 games. 1 game does not a season make.

Yet another reason I was surprised that Wilson agreed to go to Denver knowing how QB stocked the AFC is and knowing the NFC is by far the weaker conference.

Outside of Rodgers, Brady, and Stafford, the next group of QB's for the top tier in the NFC are Dak, Murray, and Hurts.....which speaks volumes as to disparity between conferences.
No Cousins?

I think you missed my point. I was adding to what you were saying by pointing out that our division is actually tougher than realised. Not the least of which that we did very well against Mac Jones and Justin Herbert, and we got incredibly unlucky against the Chiefs and Raiders. Particularly on a particular illness front that meant we were down a few WRs in those matches, along with some crap officiating. So, to suggest that the Cowboys should be counting our lucky stars that we are in the NFC because it's "weaker" and because we'd "struggle" against the AFC is a bit ridiculous imo. Both conferences have tough teams and weak teams, and that will be played out in the course of the season.

Very true, as impressive as the Bills looked, it's still just one game in week 1. We don't know how the NFL is going to by the time the playoffs comes around. There could be some surprise NFC teams which raises above expectations and some AFC teams which may end up disappointing or not living up to the season NFL pundits expected them to have. Not every team who has an impressive week one game will end up in the playoffs and not every team who has an ugly loss in week one, is going to look as bad by the time the playoffs start, as there can be many times in which times improve throughout the season.

Could you imagine making the Wild Card game as an AFC team and having to deal with Mahomes, Allen, Herbet, Burrow, Wilson, Jackson, Carr, and then coming up the Mac Jones and Trevor Lawrence's of the world?

The NFC is the old guard with Stafford , Rodgers, and Brady holding down the fort. After that it's wide open.

The Cowboys should be thankful that all these great QBs are over on the other side, because I don't know how a Jerry Jones build team could go through a 4 game gauntlet that is the playoffs facing off with any of those 4 QBs in a row.
AFC is a power house this year. just look at AFC west. any one of those teams could win the division and dare I say, is it possible all 4 teams make it to playoffs? (although it will be tough because they play each other and beat each other up).

then you have buffallo, new england and miami isn't a cake walk, cinci, titans always tough.... like you said AFC is scary.

Hey, we agree on something.

The Jerry Jones built Cowboys are lucky to be in the NFC and away from that gauntlet that is the AFC.

I saw someone mention earlier that the Cowboys beat the Chargers and Pats last year and ALMOST beat the Raiders and Chiefs to somehow make it look like the Cowboys can easily compete.

That's a 2-2 record. You know what 2 wins and then a loss gets you in the playoffs?

all NFC teams are lucky this year, including us. some craappy NFC teams are going to end up in the playoffs as the 7th seed by default.

Not lucky. Just might force Dallas to be or get better with less results. As long as jerry's team is relevant, he keeps dragging us along in the dirt.

8.5 billion and still not a major threat!

I am wondering if the Bills are as cursed as the Vikings are. Have great teams and great QBs and HOF coaches but never win it all.

I don't remember the New England Patriots apologizing when AFC was weak. You play the hand you were dealt.

It's as easy as comparing this team's NFC East record to it's out of division record.
If the opponent is .500 or above, or in some cases just out of the division, the likelihood that they lose increases dramatically.

It's why I laugh at the 12-5 record from last year when it was 6-0 against NFC Least and 6-5 against everyone else.

It's why the know nothings who always claim Brady and Manning feasted on a weak AFC East and AFC South are clueless. They forget that's only 6 games. They didn't go 6-0 in the division every year. What did they do the other 10 games? (when it was still 16).

Yep. They beat pretty much most all teams. In their division. Out of their division. In their conference. Or out of their conference.

Dallas can't compete as well outside of their own division.

Which is fine and dandy.

Because when it comes to one game anybody can win.

The point of the thread is the gauntlet it would be to get to the Super Bowl in the AFC compared to the NFC. The talent in the AFC, especially with young QBs, is insane compared to the NFC.

Further than the Cowboys have been in 27 years?
