He somehow went from NC St, to Montana St, to Elon. I don’t know the reasoning behind it, but something seems off to transfer that many times to successively smaller schools.

I mean, this is the time to kick the tires, but, he probably will just end up like Showers.

Don’t know the story but it’s not hard to surmise that he had to keep going down in competition until he found the level he could actually compete at and wouldn’t be replaced as the starter by the newest QB recruit.

Poor man's Steve McNair with his motion and style. He might even make it to Oxnard as a camp body. But no further.

Excerpt from him leaving Montana State from the source you listed (for those who won't click on the link):

McKay, a 6-foot-4, 210-pound junior, completed 153 of 246 passes (62.2%) for 2,021 yards, 16 touchdowns and three interceptions. He’s also second on the team with 316 rushing yards on 78 attempts with two touchdowns.

McKay has started every game this year. His teammates praised him for his work ethic, particularly his dedication to watching film. He was among the top quarterbacks in the FCS in passing efficiency at points in the season.

However, his last game at Montana resulted in him completing 12 of 25 passes for 108 yards with one touchdown. It was his fourth time in five games he passed for less than 150 yards.

From his first six games compared to his final five, his passing yards per game were cut nearly in half (224 to 112.8). His completion percentage also dipped by nearly 13% (67.9% to 55%).

It's actually a nice school, about an hour from me. Look up college education costs for today and I have no clue how kids expect to make money with a 150k plus debt out of the gate for a 4 year degree.
Don’t borrow 150k so one can get a degree in ridiculous things like “Cultural Leadership and Inequity” and expect to have people beating down your doors to hire them.

Those people usually wind up blaming the rest of society, dont pay back their loans and wind up living back with mommy and daddy…..or move to Hawaii to sponge off the man

welcome to the last 3 years

They would never sign anybody here that would be real competition at the QB position while Dak is here.

Give us just one example of when that’s happened?
Why would they if they already have a stud at QB?

Elon University's freshman applicants sport an average GPA of 4.04, an average SAT score of 1233, and an ACT average of 27 - with a 71% admission application rate. Not quite Emory or Duke territory, but most of their students are not there for basket weaving classes. Highly touted academics.
l wonder what the combined GPA of the football team is? :muttley:

Matthew McWho?
Did we really think they were gonna bring someone in who would shatter Dak's confidence and ego, or whatever is left of it?
Push him, or intimidate him.? Fragile. This is why he don't get any better, and actually regresses .

No surprise. Probably just camp fodder so as not to wear out the other's arms.
