What receivers? I know Gallup...who else since 2016?

He probably takes the most failed shots with Gallup deep. I think he has missed Cooper along the right sideline deep. And Jarwin. And Austin.

I don't have the breakdown, but I don't think his misses are limited to Gallup.

well, I guess throwing 2 deep balls every other game and making one ofthem helps. and this also takes into account YAC, like the pass to cooper he took to the house, twice....

instead of ratings like this you should look at his stats for balls thrown 0-10, 10-20, 20-30 and 30+ yards to see how he really does....

all these ratings stats you keep pushing on Dak, still doesn't make him a good QB, when he throws at 75% rate, but only for 150 yards...... they call these type of QBs stat collectors, with their dink and dunk approach to the game.

Dak has an excellent passer rating on balls thrown over 20+ to the left and middle parts of the field.

Dink and dunk has win many Super Bowls.

The deep passes? He’s not throwing deep passes to Jarwin. And he’s been money to Austin even though it’s limited. Him and Cooper have been money. I’m not sure what received you are refeerring to other than Gallup.

Dak cant throw deep, Zeke can’t hit a home run. Thankfully we have Cooper who can provide big plays.

How do your explain this stat?

Seems pretty good to me.

The real truth about Dak throwing deep cant be kept quiet because people have eyes and watch the games. Yes Dak can throw the ball 40 and 50 yards but when we talk about throwing a good deep ball there are a couple factors involved. Daks arm is not that strong so when he does throw deep he has to put a lot more effort into throwing the ball than most QBs. When you reach a point where your putting 85 to 90 % effort in then your going to lose accuracy compared to a guy that puts in 70% effort. This is also the same for the mid range pass between 15 -25 yards. Dak has to put more effort into his mid range passes than most QBs out there. And that is when he has perfect conditions! If you have ever seen a QB that is off balance or has someone grabbing them and they flick the ball 20 yards downfield using just their arm, THAT is arm strength! Daks mechanics go off just a little bit and he really struggles as noted in 2016 when he threw the ball to Beasley in the flat 15 yards away and the ball face plants in the dirt 5 yards short of Beasley. Daks comfort zone is between the numbers and 10 yards down field. Other then that he really has to put effort into any throws deeper. I think this is why we see Dak holding the ball too long because he sees Cooper running a deep crossing route 20 yds down field and he knows he has to really step in to that throw and to hit him in stride and isnt comfortable or confident in those mid range throws. We see a lot of guys open that Daks doesnt even try to throw to. He only goes for safe passes in his eyes. This is why I think we have seen his ceiling and he isnt going to get any better. Yes he can get better reading defenses but he still has to make the throws.

If the WR beats the db deep he's better off with a steep arc for the ball.

And a little underthrow is better than a little overthrow. Gives the WR a chance for a catch or PI. And if the WR is deep, he can slow down and cut off the DB from the ball. If you overthrow, there's just no chance for anything.

But with Dak, he just needs better accuracy. He's just missing often, and badly. The fine tuning will have to wait until he gets the ball in the in the ballpark.

Normally it is just over throwing his target. Long balls are low percentage passes to begin with and Dak does not throw many.

This is bull crap lol. I like Dak as much as the next guy but hes not that accurate on the deep ball. People trying to prove he’s accurate by narrowing it down to a couple of quarters lol. This why I not a 100% live and die by the numbers guy. Watch the games man.....

STATS or no STATS, Dak needs to light it up in the post season. His game needs to be improved dramatically. I like him, a lot. Great guy. Love what he has brought to the team. But we are in his third season heading into the post season. If he's the guy...he needs to be the guy starting right now.
I agree. However, the pressure thickens considerably in post season. If Dak can wade through the pressures of post season he will convince Jerry to pay the man. First round loss, not so sure they extend him. First round victory Dak gets paid. NFC champs, Dak breaks the bank before Valentine's Day.

Dak has 30 passes "incomplete deep"
Lately it's been mainly Gallup.
Earlier it was Hurns, Jarwin, Swaim, Austin. There have been a few Cooper.

I’m telling you what it is lol. I’ve seen every game this year. The majority of the misses his fault are mostly to Gallup. He doesn’t throw deep shots to Jarwin and Hurns so I guess my next question is what are you considering “deep”?

Technically— the 4th quarter makes up 25% of the playing time of a QB— and arguably the most important 25% as many games in the parity driven NFL come down to being won in the 4th qtr.

Well maybe if Dak played better in the 1st-3rd quarters we wouldn't have to rely on it coming down to the 4th quarter or OT.

Dak has hit several deep passes this year. THATS a false narrative. Has he missed several too? YUP...but so do all QB'S this year. Not a great year for QB's. That's said, Dak has to hit some of these when they present themselves in the playoffs. It separates who goes on to the next round, and who goes home.

Gallup has far exceeded what I thought he was. If Dak got him the ball better, the kid would have around 700 yards receiving lol. He must get the chemistry going with him.

You had to pick your stats, right? Why not include all games and all passes to determine ranking. Stats can lie and Liars can figure. The eye test really tells the tale on Dak and we all know it here.

Wentz has proven to be worse than Dak. Can we all agree to that? Ok, so at least we have Dak. Dak has proven he can be special...but he is super streaky. Hot and cold. We better hope he's on one of his hot streaks because when he gets locked in, he's one of the best. When he's not, HE IS GARBAGE.
