I thought Dak chose to scramble at the right times tonight. That's great. But when it came to throwing, he was off target especially on deep balls. He had two really good throws tonight: The deep to Dez on the second drive, and the one where he threw it above the receivers head so only Beasley could get it.

Outside of that, I saw his footwork getting worse, he was throwing up ducks, forcing throws instead of throwing it away, not reading the field well which resulted in missing wide open players, and showed his lack of arm strength could hurt us in crucial moments (Watch the INT again, you will see what he was attempting to do, he just couldn't fit the ball in)

This was simply just an awful game by Dak. I see little to no redeeming factors.

Awesome. goodnight..

Show me a qb in the league that doesn't have a tough game. Dak showed up at the end and the cowboys pulled it off.

Yes. You study it. You keep working. Then you go get another W. Nothing there speaks QB change.

We'll see. You do all those things regardless. But when you've got a vet sitting there who can read it properly and make all the throws immediately, you go with that guy and continue to develop the rookie. No matter how much the fans want you to do otherwise.

I never called him a loser, I only said Dak is a winner.

Even if it's not always Romo's fault something seemed to go wrong even in 2014 though. Also let's be honest I hate to take away credit for any Cowboy win but we should have lost to the Lions in the first round that year we got the benefit of some terrible calls from the refs. However I do also believe the throw to Dez in GB was a catch but for whatever reason fate stood in the way.

Nothing wrong with being excited at all.

I haven't been this excited since 2014. We had a great come from behind win and it has been a great night. I don't know who is upset.

I agree with you. You don't know who's upset? Just sit back and observe this board over the next few days. It won't be too difficult.

Not when the rookie has led you to 6-1 and best in the NFC. You absolutely ride that juggernaut. Tweak it. Teach it. But ride it.

I find it funny how people say others are driving an anti Romo agenda when, on the heels of our biggest win of the season, they're socializing and rationalizing their flailing anti Dak agendas. (in a Dak appreciation thread at that)

Hypocrisy at its best.
You ain't neva lied...

The team has us 6-1, not just the QB. But like I said, we'll see pretty soon here.

And I find it funny that you people just can't handle the mere prospect of another poster actually critiquing Dak's play.

If you are this bent out of shape with laughter, stick around another 12 hours. I'm sure you'll be outraged at the absolute plethora of anti-Romo threads that will emerge. You know, since so many hypocrites are around.

Tomorrow, I'm going to show two plays comparing Wentz and Prescott to show the difference between the two in tight window throws. I'll try to get some GIFs (The one was the INT, so it shouldn't be tough)

There is simply too much gameplanning around Prescott's faults that I just can't seem him being some 12-15 year QB. His footwork has seemed to get worse as the weeks have gone as well, he's regressing in that area.

Those are fixable issues. His throwing motion is compact, he has NFL arm strength, ice in his veins, is a hard worker, and a good team leader.

He'll be fine. Mechanics can be adjusted.

Lame.

I was sure the title said "Dak Appreciation Thread" but my 20 20 vision could be starting to fade. I dunno.

Please do.. this place will be a warzone all week. The more we win.. the more people here get unbelievably upset. Amazing.. I know.. just watch. It's gets worse after every win.

LOL. The more we win.

I have seen upset people, you are right. That's why it's almost become unbearable with all of the anti-Romo threads and posts created.

I was hard on Dak tonight

I'm hard on him because he has set the bar high. So when he plays like he did for 3 quarters tonight he is frustrating because you know he is better then that.

Then the 4th quarter comes and he looked like a different player. He was cool and calm. Dak I appreciate you sir

By the logic of some here, Anthony Hitchens never loses his job because we are 6-1.

Again, why can't fans be happy that we have two franchise QBs instead of none?

I know everybody's happy we won, and very impressed with Dak gutting it out, but I'm betting you when they look at the film and deconstruct the decision making for most of the game, it's an argument for a veteran like Tony.

You guys seem to forget that Tony's won dozens and dozens of games like this. And he doesn't get confused by any blitz Jim Schwartz throws at him, period. To Dak's credit, the played through it and came out of it with the W. But we got lucky tonight, guys, too.
He sure looked confused against Detroit in 2013 throwing pick 6s everywhere. He got confused by Carolina last year too.

It shouldn't be about that. I agree with you. It's a complicated situation and I hope we handle it correctly. Romo's not perfect but we shouldn't be bashing him either.
