Can't read a defense, can't adjust to coverage, has no ability to lead the squad, doesn't inspire anyone

This is what happens when you go with the hot hand.

Our WR talent looks equally poor. No separation. No body to take the top off the defense. And Dak doesn't trust his throws for some reason right now so he wouldn't throw it down field anyway.. He's not going to throw anyone open short as we learned all last year. And the O-line has regressed with the loss of TF.

This is just a bad formula for winning right now with him at the QB.

Dak makes the WR's look bad on a 10 yd curl. Throw the damn ball, just when the WR is coming back, dummy! Stop holding it. Guys are open everywhere, not wide but open enough to pull the damn trigger. Dak is playing scared with no confidence or he can't read the defense.

Hopefully, the entire offense, along with Prescott, get things on track and on track pretty darn fast. The potential is certainly there for it to happen.

But this continual 'We are gonna draft a first round quarterback' mantra is laughable. It is like the events of 2016 are a dream.

Rookie quarterbacks do not replace franchise quarterbacks and have short careers as the replacement. Jones made a commitment. Some people on the outside looking in agreed with the commitment.

Prescott will be the featured quarterback for a number of years. He has the potential to live up to the hype. He has shown it. But being shortsighted will not change his longevity because his performance does not meet expectations outside of Jones'.

I don’t think Prescott sucks, but I do think at this point he severely limits what the offense can do, which is problematic for not only the offense but the defense as well.

There have been a litany of quarterbacks to look impressive in their rookie season only to tail off and end up out of the league in short order. I’m fearful this could be the trajectory, as there’s no telling when we may be able to find another quarterback that allows the team to be competitive.

The decision to not allow Romo to play again in 2016 will only be able to be truly judged after it is known how the Prescott era plays out. It has a chance to be an historically bad decision. It also has a chance to be the opposite, but I don’t know how great a chance there is for that.

Wow!! Someone actually posted that Dak is the worst starting QB in the league.

Go to football school immediately. Nathan Peterman started for the Bills today. Go watch highlights from other games and you will see worst quarterbacking.

Psrt of me thinks, Jones saw that Romo would not finish his contract, and the injury was perfect reason to elevate Dak, I also think that Witten left moreso because he saw that there was nothing on the offense and probably knew they were going to jettison Dez.

Don’t fall into the trap of just ranting against Dak.

These offensive coaches are average at best and the weapons in the passing game are average.

the only positive from this was the defense.
Im a big Dak fan....I can't defend this.
not gonna try.
this looked alot like last year...and we had Tyron and Zeke.
what sucks...we wasted a helluva defensive effort and this one was winnable.

I’ll go against the grain a bit and say I don’t think Dak completely sucked. He played extremely hard... and he did connect on some plays when given time. But the problem is with the dink and dunk style that he’s limited to, you just can’t miss many passes. You have to be Drew Brees and complete 80% or too many drives will stall out. You just can’t miss like he did with Jarwin and some of those other at the feet passes.

Were you watching the game? Did you SEE his constantly wild and errant throws?

Sure, but it's a waste of time complaining about him. The real issue with this team is the lack of a competent head coach. Until that changes, nothing will.

Even if we replace Dak, is Garrett the guy you want mentoring our next franchise QB?
