Dallas must beat the Chargers. The Jets and Browns just gave Dallas a golden opportunity to get back in the NFC race. If the Cowboys can beat the Chargers prior to the bye week and Rams after the bye week, it can build some momentum for the Cowboys. The Cowboys must take advantage of this opportunity. It would be awful if the team squanders this.
It's a long season, where the Eagles/Cowboys have a tough schedule. Responding this week is very important, but this is still going to be a very tough opponent.

I agree, but at least, if we can get on a bit of a run, we may only need to beat Philly once to win the division.

What still remains troubling is how the Cowboys lost both their games this season. They were decisively beaten in both and absolutely destroyed by San Francisco. At least San Francisco and Philly were competitive in their losses today. Their games went down to the wire. If the Cowboys can’t withstand a few punches, and begin to fold, the losses by San Francisco and Philly today won’t matter. Everyone has been crapping on the Jets and Kyle Wilson, but at least they show some fight. They’ve beaten a couple of Super Bowl contenders in Buffalo and Philly.
not to mention that while all games are important, those losses weren't big game situations for either San Francisco and Philly. Every team can have an off week in the NFL. But Cowboys loss to the Cardinals for example wasn't as meaningful as Cowboys loss to the 49ers. I mean one game you can write off and say, well the team had an off day. The other game against the 49ers, the team should've had something to prove, because they were facing what many considered to be the best team in the NFL, and they want to be in that conversation as well. Instead of winning, or even giving a worthy effort in a loss, the team got completely embarrassed and didn't even look like they were in the same league as the 49ers. The 49ers and Eagles loses today compare more to our loss against the Cards than to our loss to the 49ers.

I thought he was trending down but he whooped a really good jets defense. If Dak can stay hot we may make it past the wild card round this year:omg:

Any lifeline is a fallacy. Teams make their own destiny. Or they do not.

I dont see this as a lifeline.

I see it illustrating the obvious. The Niner lost to the Browns, the Eagles to the Jets, the 3-2 Bills are in a struggle with the Giants and the Bengals started 0-3.

This league changes from week to week. While I won't believe we can beat the niners, or advance past the divisional round until it happens, I won't rule it out. There's just too much fluidity in the NFL, and we are months away from when it truly counts. Be healthy, and have momentum going into the playoffs and anything can happen.

It's easy to prognosticate with ample recency bias and look smart, but it's doesn't mean it's right.
