The defense played well, so if Dak has even a decent game do we win?

The homer revisionist view can take the worst game of his career and turn into a above average game where all the other guys let Dak down. What little credibility AC had is down the toilet, it’s hard to believe even the biggest homer would post this, guy has no shame and the saddest part is he probably believes it. Pathetically sad.
Aww, another one who can't handle facts around here. Sucks to be you.

49ers had by far the top run defense in the NFC….77.7 ypg. Dallas had 76

49ers had a slightly below average pass defense. That is where we failed, especially adding in the turnovers

So excuse the run gambla.e the pass game.e but
regardless, if you are a top offense, then you be better than them. we couldn't rush the ball and we all say, our offense is predicated on successful run game.

we had slightly below their season average of passing. so we played to below their averages and they did the same. . its just that their season stats was better than us and it showed on the score board. slightly better than us.

where their offense average 138ypg in regular season and got 113. we averaged 135 and got 76. there in lies the difference.

Asking the o-line to make a hole.....totally unreasonable.
the niners have been able to do it with perhaps lesser OL. yes, their LT is the best in the league right now, but we had good players too. yet, our run game was very predictable. just hit the man in front of you and let the RB choose a hole. that will only get you so far.

True

fwiw, in the end...the 2 ints vs 0 ints was a big difference.

LoL. Asking a very well playing unit to play even better so that one very badly performing guy wouldn't have to improve his game is outrageous. Keeping the opponent to less than 20 points in a play off game should be enough for a capable offense.

This thread is just one more try from you, to put Dak's Performance in a perspective, that simply isn't there. He sucked like so many times before in clutch games and wins against the Vikings or other regular season stuff, which went in his favor won't change that.
Niners did. Outplayed our defense. Too much to ask to hit someone? Catch a ball in your hands?

Absolutely yes.

Dak was horrible. I mean, Matt Cassell horrible. Missing open WRs, lazy handoffs, just bad.
So then we can agree last years loss was mostly on the defense. Cuz daks stats were just that.

those were big differnce. why is everyoen arguing that. Dak is not elite, everyone knows that, so what's the point of trying to prove what everyone already knows. We don't have an AIkman, if there is one then tell me and we go get it or try to get it. and there were plenty of mistakes everywhere else. in a team like ours, were our only elite player on offense is Martin, then we need perfection and we didn't get that. on defense our only elite player is Parsons and the rest wer average and they weren't perfect. opportunities were there on offense. it was missed. opportunities were there on defense and it was missed. thus that's the cowboys.

Not sure what you mean by "lesser O-line". Sounds like a complete lie.

Hard to say.

But by FAR, the biggest difference between Eagles v SF, and Dallas v SF, is Hurts versus Dak.

Hurts has protected the ball. No turnovers. Dak has a couple (at least) game changing TOs a game. If Hurts had thrown 2 picks today, they likely lose.

my point was their OL isn't as good as ours and yet they are successful in running effectively, even against better teams. our run scheme is way out dated.
I agree ...our run scheme really really sucks. Not sure if it's dated, or we suck...or what. I think it's most we don't value it. We are forcing our Dak passing game to win.

It's why I advise caution on curb stomping zeke's face. I really don't think it's all him. Tony is fresher, more nimble, no doubt...but even he spends too much time and energy bouncing outside when he should be chewing yards UP the field.

We need PUSH up the field, HOLES. We aren't going anywhere until we fix it.
