I don't see it as a business decision. I see it as a corner who doesn't like contact flinching while trying to hit a bigger man and whiffing on the effort. There are other plays in the game where Diggs was in on the tackle and didn't make any business decision to avoid them. He just took his eye off the ball when he was bracing for contact that never came.
Well when it comes down to negotiating for a new contract I can guarantee he's not going to take his eye off of that big prize.

He's not going to flinch then He's going to ask for some crazy money and I hope Jerry has a big screen TV at the negotiation table playing his interception drop and him diving out of the way of kittle on a continuous loop.

His poor play was a big part of us losing that game.

The score was tied a 9-9 with 11:41 remaining in the 3rd quarter.

The INTs were in the 1st half.

The Niners 1 TD was after a Cowboys punt.
- i.e. They did not score the TD due to a short field after turnover.

Are the INTs really the reason the Cowboys lost?
There was a six point swing when Dak threw that INT in the red zone. Get a TD there and it’s a different ballgame.

He also underthrew CD Lamb which probably would have been a TD and missed a wide open Ty Hilton on the same play.

Bad Dak was back and Dallas is not winning with bad Dak. One more year and we should have cap space to cut him

Defense blew several big plays that could have turned the game around.
LoL. Asking a very well playing unit to play even better so that one very badly performing guy wouldn't have to improve his game is outrageous. Keeping the opponent to less than 20 points in a play off game should be enough for a capable offense.

This thread is just one more try from you, to put Dak's Performance in a perspective, that simply isn't there. He sucked like so many times before in clutch games and wins against the Vikings or other regular season stuff, which went in his favor won't change that.

.....actually Diggs tackling effort was concerning way before the Niner game. Finally hurt us and didn't improve, much like Dak's interceptions.

not true against the niners. 20 points is a lot.

niners defense won the game for them. Made plays and outplayed our defense.
Dallas defense matched the SF defense....difference was Dak threw 2 INT's which cost Dallas a net negative 9 points whereas Purdy did not turn the ball over. End of story.

The defense played well, so if Kellen has even a decent playcall do we win?

fixed.
Yeah, because Kellen Moore was at QB throwing 2 piss poor INTs and not Dak.....damn you homers will defend the POS QB to the end.

Wipe the drool from your lip and you'll see that I've been right about everything since the playoffs started.

Guaranteed a win vs TB, and did so RIGHT after we got thrashed in Week 18.

Said I have a bad feeling vs the 49ers and didn't expect a win. Right again.

Nice try though. Another L for you!

The red zone pick was a killer. The Cowboys were moving the ball well at that point and had the 49ers on their heels (even after Pollard went down). The first Pick I thought Gallup could have done more as both a receiver and defender but that red zone pick was thrown right to the 49ers DB. I don't think Dak ever saw him.

Other than Lamb and LT Smith who on offence came to play against San Fran. The offence needs new coaching and a new voice...

If Dak played average? What game were y'all watching? Dak played above average for most of the game, except the 2 interceptions (both were bad route concept designs against those defensive coverages, plus lazy routes ran) and the 2 overthrows (1 was thrown behind). Other than that, Dak definitely played at least average especially with an Oline that was unable to open up any holes and get the running game going, only 1 real weapon in CeeDee after Pollard went down with a broken leg in the 2nd quarter and questionable play calling.
The homer revisionist view can take the worst game of his career and turn into a above average game where all the other guys let Dak down. What little credibility AC had is down the toilet, it’s hard to believe even the biggest homer would post this, guy has no shame and the saddest part is he probably believes it. Pathetically sad.

Anyone who watched this game can tell you this answer to this question.

Dak picked a bad game to have a very bad game. The organization likes to call it "aggressiveness" but he was absolutely stupid under center. Like, I still can't believe how badly he played in those circumstances with the defense and special teams making plays.
Dak played bad. but he wasn't alone. we needed everyone to be not necessarily perfect, but play less bad and we didn't. yes defense gave up 19. but in a defensive battle, where opportunities are rare, then you cash in when they come, but Diggs dropped an interception, we sack purdy and wilson hold unnecessarily, Diggs, could have made a simple tackle on kittle and not allow a big play and he didn't. we had 76 yards rushing, outside of CD, WRs were pretty much non-existent. I know everyone points to that one play with Hilton, but go watch that again, its maybe yeah, he should have, but at the point he went to make the throw, Hilton was covered tightly, so split second decision. not saying he shouldn't have pulled the trigger, but again, split second. went to CD who was the only WR who had made plays all game, Moore called a pretty bad game. very predictable, against a great front 7. MCcarthy bumbled the clock management at the end. we weren't physical, nor mentally ready. yeah, our great kicker, missed another chip shot PAT...

This is the first playoff game that I can recall where Dallas lost that was for sure mainly because of the QB.
if they had lost by 25 then maybe his awful performance would not be the main reason….just one of many.
but no, an average to above average game by the QB and Dallas wins vs SF

If Zeke was 2016 Zeke then Cowboys win with the same performance by Dak...
Do you mean our O-line?

We get no push....no hole. There's ALWAYS a defensive man there bearing down untouched.

How many times do you see a o lineman up the field looking for someone to pancake? Never.

Tony does better, sure. But he still spends WAY too much time bounding to the corner, when he should be chewing yards up the field.

The whole point of this thread by Roy was to go all the way back to last year and say "see Dak did play good enough last year". Lol. Here is the thing though. Last year and this year Dak got the ball with 2 or 3 minutes left and 2 or 3 timeouts. That is the exact situation you pay your QB big bucks for. That last drive to go win or tie the game. He failed both times. And if you want to play revisionist history, Dak also threw a terrible pick last year against the niners that resulted in 7 points a few plays after. No one I've read is saying the defense couldn't have made more plays. But, here's the thing, how much more do you want the defense to do. If you're going to rely on the defense to win the whole game, why pay a QB at all? Keep recycling journeyman and rely on the defense.

asking a 15M RB to average 3 YPC shouldn' be a big task. a good run game could have helped.
49ers had by far the top run defense in the NFC….77.7 ypg. Dallas had 76

49ers had a slightly below average pass defense. That is where we failed, especially adding in the turnovers
