No it's not sad. The guy played a good game. He's a special teams guy and he showed up. He and Wilcox should of started.
Same old sad story we've been dealing with every time we make the playoffs, the defense can't make critical stops. We did enough offensively to win today but we couldn't stop the Packers when the game was on the line.
Of course but Rodgers mobility just makes it a lot worse of a matchup.
We were scared to death to blitz him for 2 quarters.
I said it early in the game, the soft coverage we were playing was the wrong move and they carved us up.
Once the DB's started playing tight, their offense slowed to a crawl.
I know the coaches want us to be a zone team really badly, but we play better in tight man coverage.
Elite pass rushers are hard to come by at 28. They are one group that is very nearly always found top 10.How many game changer defensive players are there when we draft, at what, 26 or 27?
This off-season needs to be dedicated to getting players to help this defense.
Heath should've went for the strip instead of the sack. It usually comes out but I think if you punch it out when a person is unsuspecting its more likely to come out. Its similar to that Carson Wentz play against the EaglesLol. They looked bad early but stepped it up and did all they could. They got sacks, a pick (nearly 2) on the best qb in the game playing as good as he probably ever had, and got beat with an incredible nearly impossible play. Definitely need help, but I'm not beating them up.
I don't know how in the he'll ARod held on to the ball on that Heath sack
