I suppose that's true if you'd rather clear the deck.Would any of that matter?
Seems more like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic, again.

I say delayed explosion because it would potentially happen after other teams try to take Quinn away.Firing him this early in the process sounds more like premature expulsion rather than a delayed explosion.
When doing this correctly there should be some rhythm to this method……
My question would be since Coach salaries dont count against the cap why not pay Quinn what he wants to remain in his current role, he has expressed that he is comfortable in Dallas.
If this was on Jerry’s radar he would have done it. Why allow Quinn to do all the interviews only to then make him an offer. Unless he wants to match any offer.
Then is that not fair to MM. what if he was available and other teams wanted to interview him.
As the longer he waits, the less chances MM would have.
Jerry would never get a serious quality coach that would consider coming here. If he pulled that. Yeah, yeah, I know some already think that is the case. But that is not true.
MM will be the HC for at least the 2022 season.
Then again we are talking senile Jerry, Drunk Jerry, or semi-sane Jerry.
And he despises eating the contracts thereof....Jerry’s favorite coach is the one under contract. He doesn’t value coaching. If he’s proven 1 thing as owner of the Cowboys it’s that he doesn’t value the coaching position at all.
And he despises eating the contracts thereof....
He usually forced new coaches to retain the assistants from the previous staff that were signed.
And we think he is going to eat over 10 million on McCarthy?
Hahaha. No.
I think Jerry would in this case....My question would be since Coach salaries dont count against the cap why not pay Quinn what he wants to remain in his current role, he has expressed that he is comfortable in Dallas.
Absolutely these are the critical questions. Is Jerry waiting on Dan Quinn before making a final decision on Mike McCarthy? Would Jerry fire McCarthy to keep Quinn from going to another team? These are the questions being asked this morning on the various football talk shows. Discuss.
He would probably have to offer Quinn the Head Coaching job to retain him.
I'm not certain that Quinn would accept.
- He can take another HC job without having to replace the HC that hired him (McCarthy).
It appears that NFL Head Coaching salaries range from:
3M: Mike Vrabel
6M: McCarthy
12.5M: Belichick
Quinn was making 8M as HC in Atlanta.
He has that kinda money in his couch cushions !!!Yet that is chump change for Jerry.
It’s that Jerry doesn’t like to pay coaches who are no longer with the team. He won’t fire McCarthy and have to pay him the next 3 years for nothing (or however long is left on his contract).
Just Everday pocket change for Jerry but why as fans do we get all caught up in how much Jerry spends to benefit this team when it doesn't count against the cap?He has that kinda money in his couch cushions !!!
Its not rumors, its been the truth for yearsThere are rumors that there are several times over the season where Jerry and Stephen interferes with decisions regarding personnel (La’el Collins and Zeke) and evidently even the offensive play calling.
Didn't Stephen Jones already say they are keeping McCarthy? Is Jerry waiting on Dan Quinn before making a final decision on Mike McCarthy? Would Jerry fire McCarthy to keep Quinn from going to another team? These are the questions being asked this morning on the various football talk shows. Discuss.
For me its simple. If he has better clock management than MM I would give him a try at HC/DC. The Defense wants to play for him and make plays. But that leaves the OC. I am not sold on Moore and MM had nothing to do with the Offense as far as I saw.. If he is allowed to hire and fire the OC and O-Line coach then even better..Is Jerry waiting on Dan Quinn before making a final decision on Mike McCarthy? Would Jerry fire McCarthy to keep Quinn from going to another team? These are the questions being asked this morning on the various football talk shows. Discuss.
I totally agree. This limbo is not comfortable to me.Absolutely these are the critical questions.
I don't think we will know until it all plays out.
The one scenerio I don't want to see is Moore being named our head coach.
That's Garrett 2.0 waiting to happen.
I think the fans are the ones rearranging the chairsWould any of that matter?
