Am I grasping here or if we beat the jags and the Eagles lose to the Bears would we be playing for first place in the division on Christmas Eve.

My thoughts are if we would win on Christmas Eve we would have first place in division by way of the Eagles having lost to two teams in their division if that is the proper tiebreaker.
I believe you are correct.

The problem with writing off winning the division is the Eagles lost to the Commanders. Now maybe that was a one off....and i'm not sure if Bears want to win....but Bears, Saints and Giants......its possible. I know the pessimists don't want to hear that. I think they lose one. I'm just not sure if its against us is the problem.

People around here always talk about Cowboys overlooking a team, Philly can just as well get caught peaking at the Dallas game next week and stumble vs a poor team.
EXACTLY. Its a toss up who wins our game. But if you told me they came out flat? Micah already put the seed in. Bears can run the football. Jury is still out if they can stop the run.

Justin Field is a heck of a runner and can create problems even for good run stopping teams. Bear are the league 1st in rushing so we will find out soon enough

Absolutely huge.......it can't be overstated
Time and time again teams making the final four championships games are the ones who avoided key injuries.
That is the key, even over getting a higher seed.

Well this might be one instance where the league might help us out and the Eagles may have to fall on the sword in Chicago.

The viewing audience for this game is already going to be tremendous but if it can be billed as a game for first place in the division I could see the league manipulating things in Chicago to make that happen if it would enhance the viewing audience

If it does happen that way, whose side would the league be on in our game with Philly?

its likely Philly goes 15-2 and since we need to rely on other teams beating them i think they have the division wrapped up and i havent worried about the divison

i just want to win out be 14-3

Unless lose to egirls shouldn’t be any other team to beat us. Unless we play like last Sunday.

I haven't gotten quite that far ahead yet I've had a lot of work to do this week I've been slacking I'm sorry.
But it would definitely add some drama and more meaning to that Christmas Eve game if it was for the division. Strictly just my opinion if I was trying to make money off this whole situation.
Quite possibly they might want the Cowboys to lose that way they would have to play more games in the playoffs where the Eagles would get a bye week I believe if they won the division so that would be less total games the Cowboys would be playing if they won the division. I think I'm just spitball in here.

I don't think they need to add drama. The Cowboys vs. any good team will be a mega draw anyway because the haters would sniff a better chance at watching Dallas lose. If we both win this Sunday, then Philly could clinch the division in our house, right? That's enough of a draw and drama all on its own. And under those circumstances, you want Dallas to win to keep the drama of Philly needing to win out (while we beat Tennessee) and coming down to the Giants getting revenge on Philly and we needing to beat Washington in the last game if the Giants take care of business. The most talked about scenario would be if Philly and Dallas BOTH lose their final game and Philly gets the division and #1 seed so Stephen A can laugh and laugh about the Cowboys woulda couldas and pending playoff doom like last year.

I think I'm better at this than you. Lol.

It's a huge ask to expect the Bears to beat them, we also would have to win out in this scenario, which might be more difficult. Could see them losing this week.
Sorry but I actually think we drop this one.

They are playing well right now and I expect it to continue. It’ll be a good close game, but like Jacksonville at home.

We also don’t match up well with Tennessee, and Washington may need that last game to get in.

The other game is the toughest one. Hell at this point I think we are a pretty damn good team, but may a have trouble holding on to the five seed.

Very odd year. This type of season typically wins you the NFC East. Sucks actually.

Three of last four on road vs good teams, then probably all the playoffs on the road. At least they aren’t a bad road team, but that’s a tall order.

Yes. If the Eagles lose two games and one of those is the game against the Cowboys, the Cowboys can take the division.

This is a trap game for the Eagles.

Think the Titan game might be the easiest as they have gotten blown out in back to back weeks. Agree, this week will be difficult, but it is a game we should win, the entire division beat them.
