You can say the same for the Cowboys this week.
I agree, but I think our trap game was last week. This week we'll see how mature we are. If we get trapped 2 weeks in a row then we have leadership issues.

I thought this was going to be the trap game, but with last week's dog fight, don't think they will take this team lightly.

Think the Titan game might be the easiest as they have gotten blown out in back to back weeks. Agree, this week will be difficult, but it is a game we should win, the entire division beat them.
Titans are stinking it up and probably aren’t as good as Jacksonville at the very moment, but the matchup is what worries me.

I can see Henry setting records on a cold night, especially if the division is out of reach.

I truly don’t like waving the white flag, but the help we need may very well be unrealistic anyway.

Now, if we beat Jax and Chicago somehow pulls off a miracle, things dramatically change. I just don’t see it and hoping to be very wrong. The good news is I often am!

We're not winning the division. It's not even worth pondering.

At this point, the team needs to focus on making the playoffs at all.
At 10-3, DAL is 3 wins ahead of WAS, NYG, and SEA, 4 wins ahead of DET.
In the loss column - 2 games ahead of their division rivals (and don't forget their tie game against each other) - 3 Ls less that the Seahawks, and 4 less than the Lions.
It would take a monumental collapse by the Cowboys = dropping 3 of 4 or going winless to finish the regular season ---PLUS three of either the Commanders, Giants, Seahawks, or Lions going undefeated in their last four games.

For us not to make the playoffs now I think we would have to try and not make the playoffs. We would have to tank on purpose. Playoffs are a given at this point with our record and the rest of the NFC. Reading your breakdown pretty much cements that.

I just don't think the Titans ground game is feared any longer. Might be their OL aging or Henry not the same after those injuries.

Am I grasping here or if we beat the jags and the Eagles lose to the Bears would we be playing for first place in the division on Christmas Eve.

My thoughts are if we would win on Christmas Eve we would have first place in division by way of the Eagles having lost to two teams in their division if that is the proper tiebreaker.
..haha.. that would be something. Hey, you never know.

I don't think they need to add drama. The Cowboys vs. any good team will be a mega draw anyway because the haters would sniff a better chance at watching Dallas lose. If we both win this Sunday, then Philly could clinch the division in our house, right? That's enough of a draw and drama all on its own. And under those circumstances, you want Dallas to win to keep the drama of Philly needing to win out (while we beat Tennessee) and coming down to the Giants getting revenge on Philly and we needing to beat Washington in the last game if the Giants take care of business. The most talked about scenario would be if Philly and Dallas BOTH lose their final game and Philly gets the division and #1 seed so Stephen A can laugh and laugh about the Cowboys woulda couldas and pending playoff doom like last year.

I think I'm better at this than you. Lol.

You most certainly are getting this down pat Glad you're on board.

My buddy and I were discussing it further today and the league is probably going to want the last game of the season for both the Eagles and Cowboys to be influential as to who's going to win the division and also who will make the wild card the Giants or the commanders.

Also if you notice in the scheduling there are no times yet for those games they have not been determined yet which says to me they will figure out the times when they have a better handle on which team needs to play first and which team needs to play later for maximum viewing audience.

Yes, I thought they always fudged with the last game times so they can make sure teams have something to play for instead of knowing that they're in or out of the playoffs based on an early game. This is also good for the most drama possible.

Yes, assuming the Cowboys win out because they would have a better divisional record. Philly was the only division game we’ve lost. Their only loss is to Washington.

Well this might be one instance where the league might help us out and the Eagles may have to fall on the sword in Chicago.

The viewing audience for this game is already going to be tremendous but if it can be billed as a game for first place in the division I could see the league manipulating things in Chicago to make that happen if it would enhance the viewing audience
Yes, the conspiracy lives strongly in you my friend.
Im being serious even.

The Eagles must lose 2 more games than the Cowboys lose and 1 of those must be the game against the Cowboys.

Never say never but the probability of it happening is low.

I'm serious to my friend and I take no offense.

I do view it more as a manipulation for profit and a marketing tool then I do a conspiracy.

But at any rate I believe it's designed for maximum entertainment value and a maximum amount of viewers.

The Cowboys are very close to a lock to make the playoffs.

One more win and they're a lock.

Even with zero wins there are more scenarios were the make it than not.

For many weeks I was hoping we could steal the division from them when we meet again. It doesn't matter to me anymore. I hope we have to be on the road for the playoffs.

I think the team feels the pressure of high expectations when they are favored and are playing at home. I'd rather see this team play loose, and when no one expects them to win.

its likely Philly goes 15-2 and since we need to rely on other teams beating them i think they have the division wrapped up and i havent worried about the divison

i just want to win out be 14-3
If this happens, I think we would be the first team to win 14 games and not win their division.

We have a 99.3% chance of making the playoffs. There would have to be some serious evil **** going on to keep us out.
